“Just tell me, you know I have issues controlling my temper still.” Just one of the negative side effect of being turned after almost dying. Ethan being the one that turned me and his infamous nasty temper must have been inherited.

Andrea turns the phone to me and it’s a page from the tome. Apparently moon touched wolves are meant to unite packs and territories. It says I can potentially have a half dozen mates. “Oh, hell no…” Just as I’m about to lose my temper, my phone rings and it’s Ethan. “Hello?”

He asks what’s wrong and if he’s needed. I tell him he’s always needed, I just got angry over a picture that Andrea showed me. He mentions the tome and I can hear him cursing under his breath. I comfort him the best I can and stare daggers at my new best friend. She mouths it’s not her fault. It’s now I understand why they got me out of the house. The deeper research uncovered this little fact, and they knew Ethan and I would both be angry and probably feed off each other’s reactions. I hear his mother announce we have arrived at the wedding gown shop and I say by goodbyes to my mate before getting out of the car.

It’s now that I really look at my surroundings and see the high end wedding boutique that Ruby took me to. “I can’t afford this.” I wave my hands at the store like I was back on flag squad at state competitions.

“The pack has excellent credit, and this is a pack owned business. As Luna, you get hefty discounts here.” Ruby smiles before linking arms with me and leading me into the store.

The minute we enter the store, it suddenly becomes silent. Looking around slowly, I try to assess the room. As much as I want to believe that this is normal, something doesn’t feel right. Andrea goes off to look at bridesmaids’ dresses and Ruby drags me back to the racks with the wedding gowns.

“Anything in particular you’re looking for?” She asks as she steps back and away from the racks.

“I’m not sure, I’m not even sure if it’s Griffin or Ethan I will be marrying on Friday.” I pull at the tulle of the gown before me. It’s an off white dress with embroidered flowers along the hem of the dress.

“Does it even matter which of my sons it is?” Ruby asks softly as the attendant brings her a glass of champagne.

“Yes, and no. Yes, because they have distinct styles. No, because they are both my mate.” I’m still examining the same dress. It’s neutral enough between both men’s tastes that it would work for either.

“Gina, can our Luna try this dress on in an eight please?” The attendant freezes, looking between us. Apparently she didn’t know I was Luna now.

“Yes, ma’am.” She says before scurrying off to lord knows where.

I pick out two more gowns, just in case. One that has purple lace over the white material. The second dress is black with silver white lace over the dark material. Honestly, personal preference would be the black and white dress. The dress calls to me and I want it more than the other two I was looking at. The label says it’s an eight, so I scoot into the first open fitting room, skipping waiting for the attendant.

It feels like it was made for me. It zips up with ease and pushes my large breasts up to the point of almost bubbling over the top. Everything about the dress is perfect for me. The black material represents my Alphas wolves colors, the silver white lace represents my wolf. I just need to find something rust-colored for Barrett’s wolf and we will be all set. I think about flowers, picturing which ones would make a killer bouquet so I can represent my Omega mate.

A knocking sounds at the dressing room door and I open it, stepping out in the gown I had chosen for myself. I look at the dainty floral one in the attendant’s hands and suddenly it doesn’t feel appropriate. It’s too soft and girly for my guys. I may be the new Luna, but I’m not a warrior like my mates are.

“Grace, step onto the pedestal and look at yourself in the mirrors I think this is your dress.” Ruby says as she steps forward, getting closer to adjust lace of the dress.

I’m nervous about wearing this gown. The price tag is higher than what I used to pay for rent for six months. “I’m not sure, mom. It’s so expensive.” Biting my bottom lip, I smooth down the material of the gown.

Andrea holds up her phone and rushes over to us. “Griffin want’s to talk to you on video chat so angle the phone up so he doesn’t see the dress.”

I nod and take the phone from her and smile, looking down at Griffin. “Hi Griff. Sorry if my anxiety is driving you guys nuts.” I furrow my brows and purse my lips as I rock back and forth.

“Deep breaths, baby girl. Whats wrong?” Griffin takes several exaggerated breaths, getting me to mimic him and calm myself down.

“The dress I like is very expensive and I don’t think I should buy it.” I glance at myself in the mirror, looking the dress over. It doesn’t need any alterations for it to fit me. It’s unfortunate it’s so expensive.

Griffin smiles broadly and laughs a little. “The cost is the issue? That’s easily solved. First off, the price on the tag is for the human shoppers.” He smiles again and I feel half of my stress melt away. “Flip the tag over and look at the bottom right corner.”

I do as Griff instructs, and the price is a quarter of what’s listed. “Wow, that’s an enormous difference.” Beaming, I look back at him, not feeling as bad as I did before.

Shaking his head, he smiles even broader. “It get’s better baby girl. That’s the pack price, you’re the Luna of the pack. You pay cost plus ten percent.”

My mouth pops open as I stand there in shock. The attendant comes over and looks at the tag and scans it, then shows me what my cost would be. It’s half of the pack price, so just a fraction of what the initial cost was. “I’ll take it.” I say to the attendant, then look back at Griffin. “Thank you Griff. It’s absolutely perfect. I would have been heartbroken if I had to choose another dress.”

“Anything for you, baby girl. The moon rises and sets according to your desires. You are our everything.” Griff speaking from the heart is a recent development and I’ll be honest. I like this version much better.

A happy tear escapes my eye as I look down at the phone at him. “Thank you Griff. I love you.” It’s the first time I said it to one of the guys, and Griff freezes like a deer in headlights.

He takes several moments before he recovers and clears his throat. “I love you too, baby girl. Enjoy your time out with mom.” Griffin ends the call and I feel a weight in my chest. It’s not the guys, it’s the guilt that I haven’t said it to the rest of them yet. Griffin’s kindness and generosity is what drew it out of me just now. Ethan, I am ninety percent sure, knows already without me having to say it. He’s my rock and the one I run to when I’m scared. Barrett is my teddy bear and the one I go to when I need a gentle touch. Conrad is somewhere between Barrett and Griffin. He can be soft, but he’s also firm, but not as much as Griffin is.

I respect Griffin for how he keeps the family and the pack safe. He’s very uptight usually. Him calling me while dress shopping was probably by Ethan’s doing. Speaking of Ethan, he’s the most in touch with his wolf and partially ruled by it. He understands my struggles because I believe he’s struggling, too.

Stepping back into the dressing room, I carefully slip out of my gown and lay it gently over the bench. I stare at the beautiful material and take a picture up close so that the pattern and color can be seen and I send it to Barrett. He gushes immediately over how perfect it would look. Laughing, I type out which flowers I want in my bouquet. He sends several dots, then types that the colors match his wolf. I send several heart emojis and smile and tell him it’s my way of representing him at the wedding. Stupid human institution of only being able to marry one person at a time. He offers the ancient tradition of hand fasting that has an unlimited amount of partners for the wolven side of the celebration.
