“Good.”

“But I want you to be in control now. I want to see you.”

Her words spark a match inside my soul. I study her face to find a lazy smirk on her lips. I groan and kiss her passionately. Then I flip her down onto the bed, her stomach pressing into the sheets with her leg hitched up half way. Her eyes turn dark at the new position, but she doesn’t protest.

I grip under her thigh and place my mouth next to her ear. “I’ll put my pride aside and let you be in control anytime you want,” I rasp. “But when you ask me to be in control, best believe I am going to make you come so hard that you forget your own name.”

Ava gasps at my statement and bites her lip. “Holy fu–”

I push myself into her again and slip my hand down her stomach and in between her legs. My fingers run circles around her throbbing clit as I thrust from behind. I hold onto her tightly, pressing my lips to her shoulder blades.

My hips gradually speed up, and she muffles her moans into the duvet. Don’t do that, I send through our mindlink. Let me hear you, baby. Let me hear how good you feel.

She twists her head, and our eyes meet. She moans. She moans so loud that my cock twitches inside her. I wasn’t far off when she was riding me. but now…fuck. I want to fill her with my cum and listen to her as she explodes with me.

I grip onto one of her ass cheeks and squeeze lightly. “Jax,” she pants.

“Tell me how that feels.”

“Mmmm.” She nods. “So good.”

Our skin slaps together as I speed up, and I pinch her clit between my fingers. She cries out. “Jax,” she looks up at me, and I see raw vulnerability in her eyes. “Oh, God. I think I’m–”

Ava comes again. Her body jitters, and she grips onto my wrist, pulling me impossibly closer. I press my lips to her ear and drown in the sound of her pleasure. Her eyes roll back, and she glows through her climax. “That’s my girl.” I nip at her lobe. “Look at you. So fucking beautiful.”

The headboard bangs harder this time, the legs of the bed squeaking against the floor. I grit my jaw, and it takes two more strokes, and I’m flying across the finishing line. My throat tenses, and I release a deep groan as I continue to thrust, filling Ava with every last drop.

I slow down and wrap my arms around her. I pull out of her and scoop her up into a blanket. Her eyes fall droopy, but there’s a ghost of a smile on her face. I push away a few pieces of hair. “Are you okay?” I ask as her head rests onto my shoulder.

Her eyelashes flutter open and closed. “Mmm.”

“Mmm, isn’t good enough for me, Ava,” I say as she looks at me properly. “Are you okay?”

“Yes, Jax. I’m okay. I’m more than okay. I’m perfect. I’m whole.”

I cradle the side of her head and bring it into the centre of my chest. “I love you,” I whisper.

“I love you, too. I love everything we’ve made together.”

Our bond tightens as if we’re now bound by a lock. Nothing can break what we have. Nothing can break us. We are indestructible.

AVA

Jaxon had an early meeting this morning. He asked if I wanted to join, and I said I’d leave the business side of his pack to him. He wants me to be more involved and grow into my position as their Luna, but I’m still learning the ropes and need more time.

Instead, I’m in the kitchen with Evan, teaching him how to cook. Sam supervises us, and it’s obvious he doesn’t want to be here from his glowering. I ignore him, but Evan’s shoulders are slightly tense.

“How are you settling in?” I ask.

Evan hums softly. “A lot better now. I’m finding my feet, but I’m ready to learn.”

My face stretches into a grin. “Good. I’m pleased, Evan.”

His hand takes hold of a large knife and slices through a bell pepper. I nod at his positioning until he slices a little too hard, and the tip of the knife swipes down his fingers.

Blood trickles onto the cutting board, and he drops the knife onto the counter with a clang. He jumps back, eyes slightly horrified. “It’s alright, it’s alright,” I say calmly as I grab his wrist and pull him over to the sink.
