“What?” She asks when she catches my gaze.

“Nothing. You’re always beautiful, but when you smile, it’s fucking breathtaking.”

“Damian,” she gasps as she blushes and averts her gaze.

I take her hand again, “Kitty Kat, look at me.”

She turns her head back to me, “When I tell you something, it’s because it’s true. You are stunning, and you should get used to hearing that. I won’t stop telling you because it makes you uncomfortable, so you’ll have to get comfortable with it.”

Kat licks her lips, and it makes my cock grow, “Thank you, I’m not used to it. Honestly, it’s nice to hear.”

Stroking the back of her hand, I chuckle, “Men must chase you like rabid animals.” I leave out the fact that I’m ready to kill every fucking one of them.

She shakes her head, “Not really. I’ve dated a bit, but nothing serious. No man has said these things to me before you.”

I lift her hands to my lips and kiss her knuckles tenderly, “I will tell you every day.”

“A sweet mobster? You’re an enigma, Damian.”

Grinning at her, I say, “Only for you, Angel. I’m not nice by nature, but I want to be for you. You make me want things I’ve never wanted.”

I kill men frequently. Between my saint work, as Domenic calls it, and the work I do for our family, I have more days with blood on my hands than days without. My buddy Max once told me when I met my future wife, she’d be my one exception. The woman I’d want to protect, obsess over, and I’d live for her smile. I laughed at the time because the thought of being with one woman for the rest of my life was insane. Staring at Katherina now, I’m not saying I want to marry her, but I have no interest in any other woman. Only her.

Her lips form a perfect ‘O’ before she takes a deep breath, “You were right, you’re a lot much.”

I chuckle, “I want to show you something.”

Chapter Eleven

Kat

Damian takes my hand and walks me to the elevator. We get inside, and he presses the number seven button. He pulls me into his arms and wraps me in a tight hold. I’m half expecting him to tell me where we’re going, but he doesn’t say anything.

I place my face against his chest and inhale his manly scent. He smells woodsy with a hint of citrus, and I can’t get enough of it.

The elevator doors slide open, and he moves, causing me to feel the loss of his body close to mine. We step out onto a massive wrap-around balcony. Walking to the ledge together, I sigh contentedly as I gaze up into the night sky. It’s so beautiful. You don’t see a bunch of buildings where this one is situated like you’d expect, but off into the far distance, you can see the skyline.

“This is awe-inspiring, Damian.”

He moves behind me and runs his hand up my bare thigh, under my skirt, “Spread your beautiful thighs, Angel.”

“Someone could see.”

Does he seriously want to have sex right here? Out in the open? I like everything he has done to me but I’m not sure about this. I have no interest in strangers watching me have an orgasm.

Damian nuzzles his face into my neck, “You’ve been teasing me, making me look at the delicious body in that tiny skirt. Did you wear it just to torture me?”

“No. I was wearing this before. I had no idea you’d barge into my apartment like you owned the place.”

He runs his nose up and down my neck, “Oh, Kitty Kat. You could’ve gone to Vegas, and I would’ve barged in. You can try to run from me, but I’ll always find you. There’s nowhere far enough to keep you from me. Now spread those fucking thighs. We are on the seventh floor. No one will come up here.” He groans when I part my legs for him, “Good girl.”

Running his hand up the inside of my thigh, he asks, “Are you wet for me, Kat? Just wondering what it is I’m going to do to you?”

“Yes,” I whimper.

Damian rubs my clit through my thin lacy panties, “Do you think the people down on the street will be able to see you, Angel?” He bites my neck, causing me to yelp, “Don’t worry. They can’t. I’d never let any man watch you come. The way you fall apart for me, I’m the only one that gets to see that.”

Damian growls against my skin, sending shivers through my core, “Do you understand, Kitty Kat? Tell me you understand.”
