I gasp, “That’s beautiful. This is their backyard?”

He grins, “Sure.”

Sure? That’s not even an answer, but I dismiss it, wanting to see what he wants to show me.

We walk into the white gazebo when I notice it also has roses running all throughout. I turn, staring at the beauty. This must have been a lot of work for someone, maybe their gardener.

“Kitty Kat?”

I circle back to Damian and gasp when I see him on bended knee with a ring box in his hand.

While he normally hides his emotions like he has built-in armor, it’s all written on his face as he begins to speak, “Kat. I think I fell in love with you the night I met you. We’ve been through heaven and hell together. It took us a little time to get it right, but I think we are right. I’ve lived with you, and I’ve endured a life without you. I never want to go through that again. So please, can we make this permanent? I promise to always love you, respect you, and give you endless orgasms.”

I giggle as I shake my head at the last part.

“Please Kitty Kat, will you be my wife?”

I nod my head yes emphatically as tears roll down my cheeks.

“Words, I need your words.”

“Yes,” I all but scream, “Yes, I will gladly marry you.”

Damian looks at me and sighs a sigh of relief as he slides the huge solitaire diamond ring onto my finger. He rises and pulls me into his arms before literally kissing the breath out of me.

I remember seeing the picture in his bedroom, and wondering if I was ever that happy. I wasn’t sure then, but I know now, I really was. The best part of our story is that now I’m even happier. I can endure anything this cruel world brings to my door as long as I have him by my side.

Damian De Luca may be a tough mobster to most of the world, but to me, he’s my happy ending.

Epilogue

Damian

Waiting three months to marry Kat was torture. The day I proposed to her, I wanted to marry her the minute she said yes. Instead of satisfying my own need to make her mine, I gave her what she wanted. A small, yet traditional ceremony with her friends, family, and all the flowers a girl could possibly want. It was worth the wait to see the pure joy on her face. Our lives have become routine, but the excitement never dies down. Every day when I come home, I’m happy to see her. We have yet to have a fight, but I think we’re about to have our first one.

I left earlier than I usually do and I’m three hours late coming home. It’s Kat’s birthday and if I know her as well as I think I do, she figures I forgot. I didn’t. The job that should’ve been quick turned sideways and nobody, including Max had any clue how long it would take. I was supposed to take her to dinner tonight, but I fucked up. There wasn’t anything I could do. Still, I feel like an ass.

Climbing the stairs, I make my way to the bedroom, and find my beautiful wife sitting on the bed reading a book. She arches her eyebrow and sighs as she looks at me. I set the boxes in my hands down on the bedside table.

“Happy Birthday, Angel.”

She sets her reader down beside her, “So you didn’t forget?”

I grin, “Not a chance. Just got tied up, I’m sorry.”

Running her fingers up her thigh, she lifts her skirt high enough that I can see she isn’t wearing panties.

“Don’t make a habit of being late. I almost took care of this need myself.”

I hold my hand up, “Hold on. Birthday presents then an orgasm.”

She shifts so she’s sitting on her ass, and spreads her legs, giving me a full view of her pussy. I clench my jaw, forcing myself to not dive in and taste her cunt. I grab the presents and set them on the bed, “Presents first. No questions until you open all of them.”

Kat groans, “Fine.”

She grabs the biggest box first and begins tearing the wrapping paper. When she gets the box open, she stares at me in shock, “Damian. What the hell?”

I shake my head, “No questions until you open all of them.”
