Then as if to prove the point that he could fuck her hard enough that she could think and feel nothing else, he began to pound into her. Again and again, he thrust into her, sending her flying as the climax swept over her, crashing into her like stormy waves against the rocks below. Decker’s face contorted as he gave her one last deep thrust and then filled her with his warmth.
There was a knock on the door. “If you two are finished, Colby would like to see us.”
Decker uncoupled from her. “Come on in,” called Decker.
Greg opened the door, stepping inside. “That wasn’t what I was expecting.”
“Yeah. I had some time to think about our somewhat unique situation on the way back. Maintaining three rooms isn’t working for me. I don’t like the idea of Adriana sleeping alone. Colby once offered me the rooms in the main keep usually given to a clan’s beta. Given that Colby’s beta shares his bed, they stand empty. I don’t know if either of you have ever been in them, but they’re huge. An enormous bedroom with an attached sitting room, bath and walk-in closet. I think we should tell him we’re moving all three of us in there. I know there’s a huge bed in one of the warehouses, and I do mean huge. I think you should keep this room so that if you have a patient who needs close watching, you can rest, but I don’t want Adriana alone.”
“You’ve just decided?” Adriana challenged, sitting up in the bed and not caring that they could both see her naked upper body.
Decker nodded. “One of the things I realized is there can only be one alpha. That’s me. Greg, for all intents and purposes, is the beta in this little menage of ours. And you, my sweet mate, will obey both of us in equal measure.”
“So, how do you see us being intimate with her working if we only have one bed?” asked Greg.
“Oh, he thinks he’s figured that out,” said Adriana, her pussy quivering at the thought but pretty sure Greg would object. He might not be an alpha male, but he was still all wolf. Male wolves were not known for their love of sharing.
“Don’t you dare act like the thought didn’t appeal to you,” said Decker. “I could feel your pussy tremble when I told you.”
“Would either of you like to fill me in? I’m feeling a little left out.”
Decker nodded. “And that’s one of the reasons we have to do it this way. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there will be times when you’re in the mood, and I’m not, or vice versa. Neither of us should feel bad about taking her when we’re so inclined. But more often than not, I figured out on the ride back that we need to take her together.”
“Should I assume when you want to knot her, I’ll need to make myself absent?”
“Not necessarily. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the whole sharing aspect of this relationship. There’s a level of intimacy in knotting and tying your mate that can’t be duplicated in any other way. As you aren’t an alpha and can’t form a knot, I would propose that we share the tie, as well as Adriana, as often as we can.”
“Don’t I have anything to say about this?” Adriana asked, realizing that she was not going to be able to play one of them against the other.
“No,” they said in unison. That was happening more and more and was becoming annoying.
Decker was pulling on his clothes. “We need to talk to Colby about what we found up at the site where Erin’s coven once lived.”
“It’s not good, is it?” Adriana asked as she started to get dressed.
“No, but I think it might explain some things. It raises a bunch of other questions, but I’m beginning to think I understand Adriana’s vision.”
CHAPTER 13
ADRIANA
The three of them made their way up to dinner—Decker in the lead with Greg holding Adriana’s hand. They entered the dining hall that way, and she was pleased to see that no one even raised an eyebrow. Apparently while the three of them had been trying to be discreet, the rest of the clan had figured it out.
She noticed there were three empty seats at the alpha’s table. While it might be out of the ordinary for the captain of the guard to sit and dine with the alpha, this was not so much the case for the clan’s chief medical officer and the resident witch/beta to the Shadow Sisters.
“In the future, when you return from a special ops or intelligence gathering mission, I would appreciate you checking in with me,” said Colby in a neutral tone such that she couldn’t tell if he was bemused or annoyed.
“In the future, I will always look to the needs of our people as I have in the past,” said Decker, with a decidedly testy edge. “One of the reasons you brought me on was that you knew your focus would need to be on your mate, the Resistance, and the Shadow Sisters. As an alpha, I could accept and respect that. In many ways it was the first of many unique situations in which I found myself, but I will expect you to afford me the same respect where my mate is concerned.”
Colby sat back. “God, you can be a belligerent asshole when you try,” he chuckled.
Bemused. Colby had definitely been bemused.
Decker grinned. “Takes one to know one,” he countered. “Nothing we discovered was urgent—somewhat earth-shattering but not urgent.”
“You had earth-shattering information and kept it to yourself so you could get your rocks off?” Adriana accused, wondering what it was that had her so on edge, especially after having just been laid.
“He said it wasn’t urgent, sweetheart. I think we both know by now Decker will never sacrifice the security of this stronghold just to get laid,” soothed Greg. This wasn’t good; the two of them seemed to be finding their own asexual mating bond.
