Shaw slowly pulls up to the valet, and we all climb out of the SUV as he gives him the keys. Ambrose pulls me to him, stealing me away from Flynn and ignoring his pout.

“Come here, brat,” Everest rumbles as we walk into the club, pulling Flynn toward him. The bouncer at the door smiles at us and takes our names before telling us to have a wonderful night.

The club is beautiful, and has black walls with navy-blue crown moldings. There are gold chandeliers with low lighting as we walk in, and there is lots of seating around a boxing ring. The guys follow behind us as we look around in awe.

“Damn, our event is sexy,” Aisling mutters, making me nod.

A beautiful woman with blue hair and even deeper blue eyes walks up to us, and I recognize her as Cerenity, the owner of Club Serene. She’s wearing a gorgeous black velvet pantsuit, with her blue butterfly tattoos crawling up her arm as if they’re part of her.

“Hello, ladies,” Cerenity says with a grin. “This is quite the shindig you’ve set up.”

“It’s all so beautiful,” I gush. “Thank you for letting us have it here.”

Cerenity shrugs, and I swear it looks as if her butterfly tattoos move with her. “Omegas have to stick together, and I respect what you’re doing here. Things haven’t been safe for us.”

Aisling nods as we walk together, taking in the beautiful recessed lighting as we walk.

“Servers have been moving through the crowd as people have arrived,” Cerenity states, and I can see people laughing and chatting. There’s an air of excitement in the room too. “I expect no one will be thinking about eating once the punches start to fly in the ring, so they’re being efficient with their time now.”

“This is perfect,” Aisling says with a nod. “We want to say a few words before the fights start in the next hour or so, and we also need to mingle.”

“I’ll call you up into the ring about fifteen minutes before they plan to start,” Cerenity says easily. “Relax, enjoy yourselves. The hard part is over. Everyone is almost here. We’ve been checking tickets as they come in. My door men had your names, so that’s why it wasn't a thing. We’ll make sure people open up their wallets, ladies.”

Taking a deep breath, we thank her, and walk through the crowd together with linked arms. Ambrose and Shaw I notice stay nearby without hovering, which I appreciate. Everest takes another corner of the club with Flynn, eyes looking around as if he’s checking for danger.

After what happened at the last party we were at, I don’t blame them. I also know they’re armed, which I oddly don’t have a problem with. I’m fairly confident no one wants to hurt me here, but there are a lot of mafia families here along with legitimate donors.

Jasper walks over to us as we move on from talking to the Mayor and his wife, eyes moving over both of us.

“Congratulations, ladies,” he says with a grin. “You’re the talk of the room at the moment, and people want to know if they can also cut a check to The Omega’s Haven. My boss is actually around here somewhere. He handed me a wad of bills and asked to meet you. Every time you tell people what your plans are, it just boosts the excitement. You’re the stars here tonight, my fighters are just window dressing.”

“That’s the nicest thing I think you’ve ever said to me,” I tell him, eyes wide. Maybe I’m being a little dramatic, but that’s a lot of words from my grumpy brother.

“I apparently need to do something about that,” he grumbles. Ah, and he’s back.

“Personally, I’m kind of excited to watch large alphas beat the shit out of each other,” Aisling confesses, shifting the serious mood.

Giggling, I shake my head as she fans herself.

“I have two betas fighting tonight as well,” Jasper says with a nod. “You two are stealing the show, but I’m sure they’ll try to win some of their own back. The bets are being placed now, and I have people taking money so it ends up in your hands. Everything is covered.”

“Excuse me,” Cerenity’s sultry voice says from the boxing ring. She’s using the microphone, and everyone turns to face her.

My brother’s jaw drops as he stares at her.

“She’s the club owner,” I whisper helpfully. I’m enjoying watching my brother waffling.

“I haven’t met her yet,” he grunts. “I worked with her business partner whenever I called and he met me at the back door to set up.”

“Before we get the fights started, Aisling and Wren would like to say a few words,” Cerenity says with a smile. “Let’s give them the floor.”

A cramp hits as I take a step, making me reach out and grab my brother's arm as I close my eyes to breathe through it.

Are you fucking kidding me right now?!

“Wren?” Jasper asks, panic in his voice.

“I’m fine,” I whisper. “Fuck, that hurts. I just have to make it up there and then I’m gone.”
