“Mmm, your hair is so pretty,” he murmurs as he shampoos my hair. He massages my scalp, making me moan, and Aria smirks as she pours a little body wash onto her hands before she begins to wash me.

I didn’t know a shower could feel so intimate and amazing.

“You’re spoiling me,” I sigh happily as Aria rubs the soap over my breasts before sneakily squeezing them. Her thumbs flick over my already hard nipples, making me gasp.

“We don’t have time for that, brats,” Gael chuckles. “We have to get going. Let’s finish up.”

I thought he would be demeaning and dominant in the bedroom. I spent a lot of time, I’m not proud of, thinking about him, because Gael would slip into my thoughts. Tonight has been amazing, but also very confusing. He’s very different than I thought he would be.

Rinsing off, we step out and dry off. “You still have water on your back,” Gael murmurs, taking the towel to dry me off. My skin heats at his touch, making me stifle a shiver.

The room is beautiful, and I walk back inside of it to get dressed, I’m overwhelmed with memories of the last few hours. I’m so glad I came here tonight.

Aria is quiet as she puts on her clothes next to me, and my lips twitch as she drops the panty vibrator in her bag. She shares a private smile with me as I finish buttoning my shirt and sit on the bed to slip on my shoes.

Gael is already dressed as he drops to his knees and helps me. “I really liked having these dug into my back,” he says as he slips my shoes on.

“I splurged a little,” I tell him with a shrug as I pick up my clutch. Standing, he steps back as he watches me stand.

“Isabela, can we talk tomorrow, please? I know we aren’t supposed to see each other past tonight, but I teach at your school,” he says.

I’ve been trying so hard not to think about Mayor Markship, and I’m reminded of everything I’ve been avoiding. “I don’t think I’m going to be around,” I whisper, looking at the ground. “Tonight was… amazing.”

I was going to say it was my one night of freedom, but that sounds dramatic, right?

I shiver as my hand fists blinking hard.

“Why are you saying it like that?” he growls. “Isa, I can help you. Please, let me.”

My head snaps up as I feel the full weight of Gael and Aria’s gaze. “No one can help me,” I cry out. “The things that are going to happen to me… I’m just going to hold on really tightly to tonight. Maybe it’ll help…”

“Isa, no,” Aria barks. She grabs my hand, searching my eyes. “Something bad is going to happen to you, and you won’t tell us what it is. Is it tomorrow? When. Tell me.”

Pulling away, I push my wet hair over my shoulder. “I hear Mayor Markship’s wife is going out of town on Monday. That’s all I can say,” I tell her, my voice breaking. “I have to go.”

Moving quickly, I leave the room. As the door closes, I hear Gael scream and something breaks, making me flinch.

“Is everything okay?” a security guard asks worriedly, his eyes flicking to the door.

“Yes,” I tell him with a sad smile. “We’re good. This place is a maze, though. Can you help me find the exit?”

The man nods as he lets me distract him, walking me out. I pack up my emotions on the way, forcing them back.

I’ll let myself unravel when I get home, away from prying or concerned eyes. I had the best night of my life tonight, my uncle and the mayor don’t get to ruin this.

“Thank you for attending tonight,” a woman says as I arrive at the exit. She’s wearing black leather pants, a white shirt with a black leather corset over it, and looks as if she doesn’t let anyone push her around. I admire her for a moment when I realize she’s the owner of the club.

“Thank you for accepting my application,” I tell her genuinely. The woman grins at me as I pass her into the night air, and I hurry to my car. I need to get back before my uncle has people at the apartment again.

The drive home passes in a blur, and I’m surprised when I find myself parked and staring at the brownstone building.

Sighing, I turn off the car and get out. It’s as if I’m losing time as I walk, just completely checking out as I climb the stairs and then I’m at my apartment door. As I let myself in, I allow myself to feel the emotions I’ve been keeping at bay.

Pushing the door closed behind me, I step out of my heels, struggling to breathe. Picking up my shoes, I stumble as I walk to my room.

Tonight was everything I could have wished for. Aria helped me through what could have been an awkward moment with Gael, and he was generous and kind.

I wonder what’s going through his mind right now, his scream of anger and anguish haunting me.
