“Killian, we need to go,” Liam's stern voice reminds me.

“Yes, sorry. I’ll be back, beautiful. Don’t run off on me.” I lean over, kissing her forehead, before standing from my chair.

I step over to Uncle, but he doesn’t say anything, just walks past me and over to Elena.

“I’ll be back. If you need anything, pain medicine, water, a shower, you’re hungry, anything at all, just tell Kyrian and he’ll make sure you get it. Do you understand, Little Mouse?”

Her eyes widen, before she lowers them. “Yes, Sir.”

Liam looks over his shoulder and we lock eyes.

Our girl is in there. She’s going to remember us.

Chapter 26

Killain

“What’s up?” I ask once we’re in the hallway.

“John got physical confirmation that it is indeed Jeffrey and Elena’s mother in the motel.”

“What are we waiting for? Let's go pick both of them up and end this.”

“Patience, Killian. We need to be careful, especially with Elena. We need to know what happened.”

“So, what the fuck are we doing, then? We’re just gonna stand around and twiddle our thumbs?” I snarl at my uncle, who shoots me a look I’ve only seen him give someone he’s about to annihilate.

“Watch your mouth. Let’s go.”

I follow him to the elevator, stepping inside when the doors open.

The ride down is over quickly and we’re heading out of the hospital when Uncle Liam’s phone rings again.

“Perfect. You know where to go,” he tells whoever is on the other end of the phone.

All I want to do is end Elena’s parents. Well, not completely, but I do want them to suffer. I have to keep my promise to Kyrian; he wants to be there when we end them and have his own taste of revenge.

Glancing over to Uncle Liam, he’s clenching his teeth so hard I can hear them grinding against each other. His hands have turned white from the death grip he has on the steering wheel. He hasn’t had this intense of a look in ages.

Pulling out my phone, I pull up my message thread with Kyrian and text him.

Me: Did they bring her medicine?

Kyrian: Yeah, the nurse wanted to get a little bitchy about how Elena wasn’t the only patient in the hospital and ringing the buzzer repeatedly was not necessary.

Me: Need they be reminded who’s paying her bill?

Kyrian: Don’t worry, I reminded the bitch who we were and that all it took was a phone call and this hospital would be ours and her ass would be out on the street turning tricks to earn a living.

Me: Did you hear how Elena answered Uncle Liam?

Kyrian: I did. My sunshine’s in there and she just needs to break free.

Kyrian: I’m going to keep reminding her who we are and that we want her.

Kyrian: She’s drifting off.

Me: Keep me updated if anything changes. If she remembers, let me know.
