“And he liked it. Baby, it’s fine. You had a need, and I took care of it. Braxton just so happened to walk in. The next time, it could be them fucking you and I walk in. It’s going to happen. This is a relationship, so don’t you for one fucking minute feel embarrassed. Do you understand?”

She nods.

“Sierra, words.”

“Yes.”

“Okay, finish getting dressed and I’ll meet you in the living room. I’m starving all of a sudden.” I wink before walking over to my bag, pulling out a clean shirt and picking my shoes up from the floor.

Chapter 51

Sierra

We went to lunch and not a word was said about what happened. After we ate, we all came back to the apartment. The guys didn’t want to leave, but Rico demanded they not be here when he arrived with the Hellions. So they all kissed me goodbye, making me promise to call them when I got home.

I love that they are so worried about me, but I also feel guilty knowing they won’t go to sleep without knowing I’m safe.

“Are you staying?” I ask Cyrus, as I snuggle into his arms.

“I can’t. Rico wants to keep me in the dark in case things go wrong and the police interrogate me. But I’m not leaving until he gets here.”

“Where are you going?”

“To my dorm. I have some packing to do.” He tilts my head, pressing his lips on mine.

I love this man so much. He’s been by my side through everything.

A throat clears and we break apart.

“You two really need to be more aware of your surroundings. You didn’t even know the door opened because you were so busy making out. I’m beginning to wonder if I can trust you to keep my niece safe, Cyrus,” Rico’s deep voice chastises.

Looking up, I see him, followed by Sam and Bash, with Arizona on his arm.

“I told you to start knocking. This is my apartment. Do I need to take the key away from you?” I sass back.

“She hasn’t been beat up while she’s been with me. Can you say the same for when you claim you were watching out for her?” Cyrus growls through clenched teeth.

“I like this one. He’s got fire. You ever want to be part of the Hellions, you give me a call.” Sam laughs as he makes his way into the apartment and takes a seat in the chair across from us.

“Hey girlie, ready to dish out some retribution tonight?” Arizona pulls away from Bash and sits on the couch beside me.

“Where’s the prospects? Weren’t they right behind us?” Rico asks, continuing to glare at Cyrus. I can’t help but laugh.

“They stopped to help an elderly lady with her groceries. I gave them the apartment number and they’ll be here once they’re done,” Sam announces.

“Okay, Cyrus. Time to go. We’ll make sure you’re kept up to date. But you’re gone until everything is done tonight.”

“Come on,” I tell him, taking his hand in mine and standing up. “Come with me to the bedroom.”

He follows behind me, and when we get there, I shut the door. I don’t want anyone walking in on us while we say our goodbyes.

“I wish you were going with me.” I slip my arms around his waist and melt into his warmth.

“Me too, baby. Me too. I don’t like the thought of you getting hurt.”

“Promise me you’ll be here when I get back. I don’t want to be here alone.”

“I promise, baby.” He kisses me deeply, then pulls away. “Time for me to go.”
