About ten minutes later, Cyrus steps back into the room, drink in hand, with Rico following behind him. Both have a grim look on their face.

Whatever it is, I know it’s not going to be good.

Rico shuts the door behind him and pulls a chair over to the couch as Cyrus sits down beside me.

“I heard back from the bastard about the private dance.” Rico doesn’t waste any time.

“When?”

“Tomorrow. He agreed to Arizona accompanying you. We know the address and the Hellions have already headed over there to check it out, put up cameras and see if they have any up. The safety of you and Arizona is of the utmost importance. But Sierra, if you don’t want to do it, just tell me and we’ll come up with another plan. I hate even the thought of you doing this.”

“I’m going,” Cyrus butts in, his tone firm, leaving no room for question.

“No, you aren’t. Two of the Hellions will be. You’re not involved in this plan in any way. If shit goes south and I’m implicated, I need you here with Sierra to make sure she’s taken care of. I’ve already met with an attorney, so if anything happens to me, the business, all my money, everything goes to you, Sierra.” My eyes water at his words, as I let out a gasp. He’s making sure I’m taken care of.

“Rico, I should be with her.” Cyrus’ voice rises, laced with anger.

“No, and if you continue, you can leave the room now and not have any further involvement in the conversation.”

Cyrus is seething, his whole body tense, but he doesn’t argue. I hate that he’s mad at Rico, but I get his point and agree. There’s no way I want Cyrus placed in any type of danger.

But do I want to do this? Can I face the man who raped me, someone I respected at one point in time?

“I’m doing it, Rico, to show him he didn’t break me. I want to see his face when the truth comes out.”

“Okay, I’ll be at your place tomorrow and we will go over every step of what’s going to happen.”

I can’t believe this is really about to happen.

Chapter 50

Cyrus

She looks like an angel sleeping, her hair cascading over the pillow and her hands tucked under her face. I’m the luckiest fucking man alive to call her my girlfriend. One day I’ll be calling her my wife. I know without a shadow of a doubt we will always be together.

Well, me and the three other men in her life.

She doesn’t know, but they’ll be here soon. We are a unit and our girl is not only about to be placing herself in harm's way, but coming face to face with the man who took away one of her greatest choices in life; who to give her virginity to. They need to know what she’s about to do.

I pull off the comforter and carefully slip out of bed. I don’t want to wake her. She needs her rest. I pick up my phone from the dresser and step over to my bag to pull out a shirt and a pair of sweats.

Tip-toeing to the door, I look over my shoulder to her still sleeping form before shutting it behind me and heading to the bathroom. I have time to get a quick shower before they get here. I messaged them last night, telling them to text me when they get here, versus knocking on the door.

Turning on the water, I give it time to warm up while brushing my teeth. All I can think about is my girl asking me to move in with her. My plan is to pack some of my things while she is dancing for the asshole. It’ll be a good way to keep my mind busy. Tonight is going to be torture and I know it. Maybe the guys will want to keep me company.

Stepping into the shower under the hot spray, I let the warmth soothe my tense muscles. Breathing in and out, I calm my nerves about what’s going to happen later and how helpless I feel in the situation.

The fact that I’m not going to be there to protect her, even help her if something happens, has me sick. I pick up the bar of soap and roll it in my hands underneath the water, lathering it up, and quickly washing off. Time is ticking, and I need to be ready when they get here.

As soon as I step out and begin drying off, my phone vibrates on the counter. I quickly pick it up to see it’s the group chat.

Colt: We’re getting coffee around the corner then we’ll be there.

Brax: Is she up?

Me: Okay and no she’s still sleeping and I plan to let her as long as she can.

Me: Like I said we have shit to talk about
