God, how he’d missed this. It had been a while since he’d kissed a guy, and Cormac made an art of it. He even loved how Cormac’s beard scraped against his sensitive skin, making it tingle.

“Austin, do you want—oh shit!” Orion squeaked.

Austin jumped up so fast that his plate fell to the floor, spilling his food. Lila jumped down, making a pig of herself as Austin said, “Cormac had something in his eye. I was helping him out.”

“With your lips?” Orion looked between them.

The last thing Austin wanted was for his cousin to think he was some horny dude who jumped on the first guy he met. “It’s not like that,” Austin said.

“Did you need something?” Cormac asked as he sat back, looking unashamed that they’d been busted kissing.

Austin grabbed Lila and set her on the couch, but she jumped back down and went after the food again. “You’re going to make yourself sick eating so much table food.”

Cormac grabbed her and swung her onto his lap, his own plate on the coffee table.

“I was, uh, I was going to see if either of you wanted dessert.” Orion looked at Cormac. “Were you really just kissing my cousin?”

“What desserts did Milly make?” Cormac spoke in an even tone, as if he hadn’t been just kissing Austin.

God, how mortifying. What if Orion went outside and blabbed? Cormac’s brothers, and Paloma, were going to think he was a straight-up slut.

His cousin rattled off what Milly made, but Austin was only half listening since Orion kept cutting his eyes at him.

“Austin?”

“Huh?” Austin looked at Cormac.

“Did you want any dessert?” He’d reclined back, one leg propped on a cushion, looking so delectable that Austin wanted to climb up his muscled body and kiss him again.

“What dessert?”

Cormac smiled.

“Dude, I just told you,” Orion said. “Weren’t you listening?”

“We’ll pass on the dessert,” Cormac said. “Thanks anyway.”

Orion gave Austin one last look before he walked away. Austin dropped to the couch and covered his face. “I can’t believe this.”

He felt hands tugging at his. When Austin looked up, Cormac had a look of concern in his eyes. “It was just kissing. It’s not like Orion walked in on us doing something else.”

Now Austin pictured Cormac naked and imagined how those muscles would move as the guy fucked him. “I just got here, Cormac. I don’t even know you, and I’m throwing myself at you. Everyone is going to think I’m a slut.”

Cormac eyes darkened. “No one is going to look at you that way, Austin. You’re not a slut.”

Austin stood. “I think I should go.”

Cormac got up, and Lila tried to get off the couch. It took only one look from the guy for her to backpedal and lay down. Cormac turned his attention back to Austin as Austin wondered how in the hell the guy had made Lila heel without saying a single word.

“I really wish you wouldn’t leave.” Cormac slid his hand down Austin’s arm, making goosebumps break out all over him. “I swear no one is going to see you that way.”

“Orion was giving me strange looks,” Austin said. “He probably wonders if I’m that easy.”

“Please stop putting yourself down,” Cormac said with a slight growl. “I screwed this up by kissing you. I didn’t mean to ruin your evening.”

“My evening isn’t ruined.” He frowned. “In fact, it’s been the best one I’ve had in a very long while, aside from getting busted like teenagers sucking face.”

Cormac chuckled, his grin so breathtaking that Austin wanted to suck face again. “You know how to stroke a guy’s ego.”
