I chuckled. “Because I could. Actually, wait, I have.” I winked.

Her cheeks flamed red, a frown settling on her face.

“Dylan, you can’t talk to me that way.”

“Actually, I can. If these people weren’t surrounding us, I’d do more to you than just talk to you that way.”

“You’re impossible.”

She was damn cute when she got flustered.

“No, I’m not. I’m speaking nothing but the truth.”

She glared at me. “Just let it go already. I told you, it was a one-time thing.”

“A one-time thing you are praying repeats itself.” I winked and dropped my hand so my fingers could rub against the side of her thigh.

“I will not tell you again. Don’t,” she gritted.

It was as if she’d thrown down a challenge, and there was no way I was backing down. She didn’t know who she was playing with.

“Or what?” I asked, leaning into her.

She turned away and left the room. I quickly followed behind. I mean, she must want me to follow her, right? She made her way toward the kitchen and then turned down the hall. I figured she was going to duck into the washroom, but she continued down the hall and made her way into the room at the end, so I followed.

I was just about to the door when she slammed it closed. I gave it a second and then opened it, stepping inside.

“Get out of here,” she gritted.

“No. My house, remember?”

“God, you are so full of yourself.”

I approached her, her eyes following my every move. “You don’t mean that,” I said.

“I do. I also meant it when I said what happened between us in Mexico was a one-time thing.”

As I continued making my way toward her, she stepped back until she was up against the wall. I placed a hand on each side of her body. I could hear the shakiness in her breathing as she looked up at me.

“You can try to fool yourself into believing it was only a one-time thing, but we both know the truth. The response out of you when I kissed you last weekend was the same response I got down there. So stop trying to kid yourself,” I whispered as I stared into her eyes. “You want it again. You want me again.”

She locked eyes with mine, and she swallowed hard as she stared at me.

“You weren’t that good,” she said, her voice shaking and cracking.

“I beg to differ.” I moved close enough my nose touched her cheek.

She smelled divine. Again, she wore the same coconut body lotion she’d used in Cozumel. The sweet scent flooded my nose. I could feel the warmth of her body, and the closer I got, the quicker her breathing picked up.

“You weren’t. I barely even…”

It was then she closed her eyes and swallowed hard. When she opened them, she met mine. Her pupils were dilated, and her chest was now rising and falling faster.

“Are you going to tell me you barely came?” I whispered, my lips grazing her ear.

I looked into her eyes and allowed mine to wander. I could see the outline of her perfect nipples through her dress and almost immediately wanted to bring my mouth to them.

She slowly shook her head. “It’s the truth,” she said, breathing hard.
