Page 38 of Burn for Her

The entire house was completely different. All the white, cream, gold had been replaced with black, purple, reds, and steel. She’d fallen into a rabbit hole. A dark, sensual, sexy rabbit hole where the Mad Hatter fucked your throat and Alice hung from chains, her nipples pinched with clamps.

Wait… what? Lena shook her head and swallowed. Shit, she couldn’t think straight again.

Loud mewling noises ripped through the hall. A growl, ferocious and earth-shattering followed. The bass of the music vibrated Lena’s ribcage. She held onto the banister as she climbed the steps. Everything smelled like sex and spice and secrets. “This is different than before.”

“Didn’t believe me?” Pain flashed her a big, hungry smile. “You’ve asked for some very fun services, Cherry. I took the liberty of setting you up with one of our finest, and most sought-after, hosts.”

Her heart was practically cartwheeling by the time they reached the top of the grand staircase.

Someone cried out in ecstasy. The crack of a whip tore through the air. More moans. The sound of skin slapping skin.

She could see none of the people, but it sounded like they were everywhere—on the floor, in the rooms against the walls, on the ceiling even.

Lena broke out in a lust-induced sweat. She slowed her roll and looked down at the first floor. Black lights and candles danced everywhere. The chandeliers glowed in reds and purples. The furniture was rearranged. There was movement but… she couldn’t see anyone.

Strange.

“This way.” Pain lured her to the room at the end of the hall. “He’s not usually here, and even so, rarely takes guests. I think you’ll enjoy him.” Pain practically purred those words, then grabbed her hand, kissed her knuckles, and said, “You look good enough to eat.”

That’s the plan, she thought. Her cheeks instantly growing hotter at the thought.

Pain chuckled. “And don’t worry, your host will be gentle until you beg him to be otherwise.”

Lena’s breath rushed out of her when Pain opened the door and ushered her inside the bedroom. “Welcome to your paradise, Cherry.”

As Pain placed her folder on a small table then walked over to a set of closet doors, Lena gawked at the rich textures of reds, blacks, silk, and velvet. The room dripped in plush fabrics and cushions. A bed with a large, black frame sat against the wall to her left. Candelabras were lit all over the place. There was a bath in the right corner with red rose petals floating on top. A chandelier bigger than a Buick hung from the ceiling, along with ropes, chains, silks, and…

Holy shit. Red ribbons.

Nothing like this was here yesterday. Nothing.

Red ribbons.

Lena’s gaze locked on those things and she froze. Solidified in the fact that she was absolutely meant to be here, her skin pebbled and cheeks tingled.

“If you don’t mind,” Pain ran a hand across her waist. “I must place this blindfold on you now.”

“Why?” Her voice trembled from a toxic mix of trepidation and anticipation.

“Rules are rules. Your host will take it off only when he deems the time is right.” Pain winked. “It’s only temporary, Cherry. Don’t be afraid.”

“I’m not afraid.” She was annoyed. “That’s not on my list.”

Pain wasn’t deterred. “To take away your sight will enhance the sensations of what you’ve signed up for. Don’t fight it, enjoy it.”

She swallowed hard.

“Come.” He grabbed her hands and walked her over to a small, circular platform. The red silk ribbons dangled directly above her now. “Stay just like this for me, Cherry.” Pain gently tied the blindfold over her eyes.

Her breath caught when his hot hands slipped down her arms to grab her wrists, raising them above her head.

“Reach out until you feel the satin,” he said against the shell of her ear.

Lena let out a small groan of desire.

“So eager and ready,” Pain purred against her neck. “You’re so ripe for sucking, Cherry.”

Oh fuuuuuck.
