“You’re the Luna. If the alpha is gone then the Luna must take over if she’s not with him.”
“OK I’m on my way.”
He hung up the phone.
Midnight was in front of me chewing on her toy.
“Did Blake talk to Tiffiny?” I asked her.
She growled when I said her name. She only growls like hat when I mention Logan.
OK something’s up.
“What is it?” I asked. “Give me a clue.”
She went out of the room for a minute then came back with a toy wolf in her mouth.
She set it down in front of me and barked.
Wolf?
“Midnight I know Tiffiny’s a werewolf. She wouldn’t be in the pack if she wasn’t. I don’t think they accept vampires.”
She shook her head like she would if she was wet indicating a ‘no.’
“OK well then if she’s not a werewolf then what is she, and how does she still have a wolf?”
She left the room again. I heard her footsteps go downstairs to the basement.
I heard a bunch of rustling. I went to the basement and saw Midnight searching though boxes that had my old childhood stuff in them.
I saw she grabbed my old chemistry set and kept it in her mouth.
She went upstairs and set it next to the stuffed animal.
“I remember this chemistry set. I always thought science was magic.” I laughed to myself.
She barked once meaning ‘yes.’
“What? What did I say?”
She kept barking.
“Magic?”
She barked once.
“What is that supposed to mean?”
She did a small growl at me then went back downstairs into the basement.
I followed her. She started digging through the boxes again.
She pulled out two pieces of clothing with her mouth.
“Midnight what is that?”
She ignored me and walked back up the stairs.
