I tried removing the quiver again but she aimed her hand at me again. Luckily there was nothing in her hand this time.

I roamed the quiver and put her hand back on the bed.

I laid down next to her and pulled her into my chest.

She snuggled closer to me. I couldn’t help but smile.

She stirred in her sleep. She slowly opened her eyes. She looked up at me.

“Awake already Princess?” I smiled.

“I’m still tired.” She snuggled her head back on my chest.

“By the way, how long have you slept with a silver knife under your pillow?” I asked.

“Sorry. It’s a reflex. I didn’t hurt you did I?”

“Are you worried about me?” I smirked.

“Maybe.”

I chuckled. “No you didn’t hurt me.”

“Good.”

“Now, are you going to tell me who Logan Jake is?” I asked getting serious.

She flinched at the sound of his name. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

“You know I’m here for you. You can tell me.”

“You won’t hurt me will you?” She asked randomly.

“No princess. Never would I ever think about hurting you in any way.”

“Promise?”

“I promise.” I kissed her forehead. “I lo-”

I got cut off by the sound of my phone ringing.

I picked it up angrily. “What!?”

“Blake! I need help!” Tiffany’s voice rang from the other line. “There’s rogues surrounding me. Hey said they won’t let me go unless you come and get me!”

“Alright calm down. Where are you?” I asked.

“Near the south border. Please hurry.”

The line went dead.

I turned to Artemis. “I’m sorry princess but I have to go. I’ll be back soon.”

“OK.”

I placed a kiss on her lips and got off the bed.

I exited her house. I smelled Tiffiny’s scent. Well that can’t be right. Maybe my nose is broken.
