“We can’t risk it.” Another spoke up.

“Well maybe we can!” The same one argued.

They started arguing with each other simultaneously.

I slammed my fist on the podium with all my might making them all shut up.

They all took their seats again with their mouths shut.

“With all due respect.” I spoke up. “When was the last time the council made a good decision?”

They looked taken back and surprised at my sudden out burst.

“You said it was safe for me to carry on my mother’s legacy. You said it was safe for me to trust Logan because you didn’t give him the proper DNA test. Now you’re saying that I can’t be with my own mate!” I yelled.

They stayed silent.

“The council hasn’t made one good decision since I became a hunter. I don’t think this time will be any different.”

“Your mother had a werewolf mate also. But you’re not a werewolf because your human DNA over powers your wolf DNA. That’s why it is too dangerous for you to be with your own mate. You can easily kill every person in this room if you let your wolf DNA take control.”

“That’s your problem. You’re scared of what will happen it a stay with may mate.”

I stormed out of the room.

I stomped all the way to mine and Blake’s room.

The door was slightly open ajar. I slowly opened the door. Blake was on the bed reading a book.

“Since when do you read?” I asked as I closed the door and locked it.

“Since… Three seconds ago.” He answered.

“Why was the door open?” I asked.

“I don’t know.”

“You’re lying.”

“You know what I found? I picture of you.” He pulled out a picture frame.

It was a girl with the same hunters attire, same black hair and green eyes, same bow and quiver, and the same gold coin as me.

“Only one problem, that’s not me.” I snatched the picture from him and put it in a drawer.

“Then who is it? It looks just like you.” He looked super confused.

I sighed. “You were listening to my conversation with the council weren’t you?”

“Alright you caught me. I only did it because you’ve been gone this whole time.”

“That girl in the picture is my mom. She was the first Robin Hood. I thought Logan was the one who named me but it turns out my grandparents told him about my mother. I’m not the original Robin Hood.”

I sat down next to him. “My mom had a werewolf mate and but the council doesn’t want me to be with you because I’m half werewolf. They’re scared of what will happen if we stay together.”

He growled at the mention of the council breaking us apart.

He hovered above me. “I am not going to let anybody take you away from me!”
