His warm eyes crinkled as he laughed. 'What's the matter,' he said, nodding to the vast greenery behind Lucy's head, 'the grounds aren't big enough for you?'
Before she could think of a feasible reply, a voice cut in from the shadows of the house.
'I'll take you.'
The voice was deep, rough. And when the figure it belonged to emerged at the door, his appearance matched it perfectly. Abnormally tall, and in the same dark clothing as the friendlier, Italian guy, you could definitely tell that he was good at his job as security.
He was pale, wide blue eyes, but definitely had the ability to slink into the background, and pounce only when necessary.
'He-hello,' Lucy tried to act calm. He came across as pretty intimidating, and it wasn't just because of his height.
He stepped out onto the gravel path, and squinted at her in the late autumn sun. 'Where do you wanna go?'
'I-I don't know.'
He eyed her up, almost suspiciously, before pulling out a set of keys from his pocket.
'Hyde park is nice.' He turned to head down the path, almost storming with a purpose.
'I'm Elijah, by the way.'
