"Every time." I nodded, letting out a slow breath.
"You're her power source, Car. She's like a little robot, living in idle mode. She's hopped from bed to bed in her life seeking something to recharge her battery but…" She shrugged then. "She can't find it. Until you. You switched her on and charged her up and of course she would want more of that."
"She's not always idle though… She's a great psychologist, only now just coming into her own confidence. She's a caretaker for Maya and the way she works with victims is a literal gift," I defended.
"Not the kind of idle I meant." Samirah rubbed her chest. "Idle in here. Remember how I was after…" She paused for a fraction of a second, a wave of darkness washing over her face. "After what happened to me? I was an angry, near-violent piece of work until I met you. We clashed in what, thirty-seven seconds?" She laughed at the memory that we both shared.
A grin made it to my lips, and I nodded. "In the fucking bathroom at Wildrose."
"You were the first person, first person, to put me in my place. You didn't shy away or back down at all. It wasn't anything you said or did, it was just your presence." She waved her hands around me as if outlining my shape. "Your calm, controlled, rich energy. It's like some kind of lure meant to tether and soothe."
"I don't know about that, but it makes sense I suppose. Like a snake charmer."
"Yes." She grinned and sat up a little bit when I said it. "A charmer, except not for snakes." Her hand fell to her chest. "For wild hearts that can't keep a rhythm. And, from what I understand about Nora, is that she struggles with the same."
"She calms me right back though. What's that say about me?"
"That she's yours," she said, simply and with a shrug. "That she belongs to you and you meet each other's needs. What's your favorite thing that she does? Like, what melts your fucking butter?"
I smirked while thinking about it, my mind flittering about to land on one single notion. "When she looks at me, with the cutest, bashful expression and asks me to make her purr." A laugh escaped me, and I shook my head. "I said that to her one time, and it's what she hangs on to."
"You can't refuse that, can you?"
"Haven't been able to yet." The smile lingered on my lips while I thought about it. The way Nora's voice changed, how she bit her lip, and how warm she felt against me. "I miss her."
"I know…" Sam gave my hair a tug. "I can tell."
Marley stirred when we quieted, as if our talking kept her in limbo. She rolled onto her back, gazing up at us with a groggy smile.
"Well, look who we disturbed." Sam grinned down at her, brushing her thumb over her lip. "How do you feel?"
"So good," she said, her hand falling to her stomach while she held Sami's gaze. "I love playing with you both. My ass is still stinging."
"Your clit is still a little engorged," I said, brushing my thumb over her. "Did we go too far with the sucking?"
"Oh." Marley drew in her breath, a shiver racing up her body. "Not at all, but you can continue doing whatever you're doing, Beast." She laughed at me, her shimmering brown eyes playful again. "I won't protest even if we're not in scene."
"Don't mind if I do." I chuckled and kept up the gentle rubbing of her fated organ. It soothed me, somewhat, knowing she enjoyed it.
"What time is your shift today?" Sam asked, running her fingers through Marley's hair to stretch across the bed beside her.
"Eight." She let out a heavy breath, her rear tensing against my thighs. "I'm gonna—"
"We know." Sam grinned and her eyes followed the movement of my fingers on her.
Marley's orgasm tensed her whole body, curling her hands to her chest when she moaned and dug her toes into the bed. "So good," she said when she calmed down, panting with it. "You two are my favorite."
"You're surely one of mine." Sam leaned down and smooched her forehead. "What do you need from us, doll?"
"Hmm." Marley yawned, her knuckles grazing her cheek. "Can you hold me?"
"Of course." Sam slipped her arms under hers when she reached up and pulled her into her lap properly.
I watched them, and the way Marley melted against Sam's chest. She pulled the blankets over them and met my gaze. I nodded, gesturing to the door when I did so.
"I'm gonna…"
"We'll crash in here. Night, Car."
