"Yes!" She giggled her head off and held on to my arms, her cheeks bright red. "I want a do-over."
"Hmm." I couldn't wipe the grin from my face while nipping her all over. "Get to ordering those pancakes then."
She snickered and wiggled about before twisting around to hug me. "Where's your phone?"
"Good question." I smooched her cheek and let her go. "Probably in the kitchen."
"I'll get it." She pinched my chin then hopped up, her robe fluttering around her thighs.
I propped my chin on my hand and indulged in the way the fabric moved against her curves, highlighting some of my favorite places.
"Found it," she said. "You have missed texts."
"From who?"
"Samirah."
"What'd she say?" I leaned back when she returned to sit in my lap, then draped my arms around her.
"I didn't look…"
"Honey, you can look at my phone. I have zero secrets. You know the code."
"I know all your codes." She typed in my passcode and offered me a cheeky smile, before tapping on the screen. "'Be over soon,'" Nora read aloud, her brows lifting. "She's coming over?"
"Shit. What's today?"
"Saturday."
"She does a rotation every few months at U.W. Medical and sometimes crashes with me…" I drew in a deep breath. "Forgot she was coming today."
"Do you use the playroom together?" Nora's question dimmed her tone even though I could tell she tried to hide it.
"We do. Yes."
"Often?"
I nodded and brushed her hair from her face. "But that was before we were us…"
She nodded, her eyes back on my phone. "Who's Marley?"
"One of the girls that we scene with. She's one of Sam's favorites…"
"Oh." And there she went, deflated in an instant.
"Nora."
She met my gaze, lowering my phone to her lap.
"You and I are exclusive. I don't share you unless you want to be shared, and you don't share me unless you want to share me. Right?"
She nodded, her fingers stroking my neck. "Just me?"
"Just you, honey. I don't need or want anyone else," I said, my tone firmer than I intended. "We can go back to Sali's and Sami can stay here alone if you prefer. She's more than fine on her own."
"No, it's okay. I think I just needed to hear you say that."
"It's not me you need to worry about, Kitten." I traced my finger over her cheek. "You're the desirable one. Remember how all those people moved in on you when you used to go to Leather & Lace?"
