"Not my fault." Maggie hopped a few steps before dropping down on the floor to sit on the mat. "Massage my leg, heathen."
"Sore?" Sali scooted closer and urged Maggie's leg into her lap before beginning her massage.
"Little bit." Maggie leaned back on her hands and looked to Nora. "Did you ask her?"
"Not yet." Nora grinned at her then looked to me. "Maggie and I want to get our hair and nails done at Jordan's tomorrow. What do you think?"
"I think if you're up for it, honey, you do you." I grinned at her and nudged her chin. "You just want to wax those bits. Don't play me. I know what you're up to."
Literally everyone laughed.
"Car." Nora smacked my arm, but it didn't stop her snickers. "But also, yes."
I laughed and squeezed her tighter. "I am in support of this endeavor," I said, wagging my brows at her.
"Blegh. You two go get pretty, Caroline and I will go to the range." Sali waved us off and Maggie smacked her hand.
"No way. Then you won't go with me when I want to. You're waiting."
Sali grumbled. "Fine. We'll go eat endless buckets of wings across the street."
Nora grinned while watching them like they belonged to an amusing sitcom. I had to agree, however. They possessed some heavy entertainment value for sure.
"What are your thoughts on that?" I asked Nora. "I can go with you or I can wait in the restaurant across the street with Sali. Your call."
"Um…" She tapped my chin while thinking about it. "Right now, I'd say I'm fine with going with Maggie alone, but can we decide tomorrow?"
"We can decide whenever you like. And even then, you can change your mind. How's that?"
"Perfect." She stroked my cheeks then leaned in to kiss me.
I smiled through our first public kiss in front of friends. Save for Anita and the shower training session, assuming she stuck around long enough. Nora grinned when she leaned back, and this time she wagged her brows at me.
"I love my playful Kitten." I tickled my fingers over the space where her T-shirt lifted above her pants.
"Your Kitten loves being playful," she said, then suddenly thwapped my elbow. "But I'm starving. Feed me, please."
I laughed and grabbed her into a rough-ish hug. "What are you hungry for? Hey, wrestle maniacs over there, you want food?"
"Pizza," Sali called out immediately.
"No more pizza!" Maggie groaned.
"Mags! You like all that other eggplant shit. Just get that." Sali shoved her shoulder despite the fact she continued to work on her leg right in front of her.
"True…" Maggie narrowed her eyes at Sali then looked over to us. "What do you guys want?"
"Pizza or Italian is good." Nora nodded right away. "I'm down for eggplant shit." She turned to me, her teeth grazing her bottom lip. "I love nightshades."
I leaned closer to her and nipped her chin. "Oh, you do, do you?"
Nora nodded, her eyes sparkling with long-lost enticement that I craved. "Uh huh."
"Hmm…well." I traced my finger up her thigh to hook around the pocket of her pants. "What shall we do about it?"
"What the fuck are you two talking about nightshades?" Sali appeared beside us holding out Maggie's phone. "Order food already. Fucking christ. Nightshades."
Maggie cracked up, flopping backward on the mat with her fit. Nora wasn't a beat behind her, but I punched Sali's arm anyway.
