“So, what were some of the best gifts you got?”
“Julia and Rob got the diaper bag I wanted. It has baseball stitching on it. Your mom got me the pregnancy body pillow I have been drooling over. I am going to sleep well tonight.”
“I’m glad she got that for you. She asked what you really needed, and that’s what I told her.”
“Thank you! I love it so much! Of course, we got a lot of gender-neutral and baseball clothing, baby toys, baby accessories, and gift cards.”
“Very nice!” I said. “How about your girls? I’m sure they went above and beyond.”
“Meadow and Pen definitely did! They got the double stroller I loved. It has cup holders along with sun shield canopies and tons of storage. But it has the feature I love the most. The seats are side by side so the babies will be able to see each other!”
“That sounds great. I can’t wait to go on walks with you and our babies. Hunter said to tell you that he is going to get you the double jogging stroller. That way I can run with the babies and not get a ‘dad bod’ yet.”
Molly laughed, “Tell him I said thank you. I was sad you weren’t here, Ty, I am glad that Dom, Ivan, and Cooper were there to help me move everything from my car to the storage unit. We got so much stuff! We are ready for the babies. Now, we just need a home to put everything in.”
“As you told me, it’s coming along. I’m so glad the guys were there to help you.”
After my phone call with Tyler I was suddenly famished and realized I hadn’t yet eaten dinner. I wasn’t sure why, but a peanut butter and jelly with bananas sounded amazing. I went into the kitchen and began making a sandwich. Peanut and Stormi both rubbed against my legs, reminding me of their presence.
Penelope and the kids came home as I was sitting down to eat.
“Are those bananas on your sandwich?” Peyton asked with a shocked expression on her face. “Mom! I want a sandwich like that!”
“We were just talking about how we’re all going out to eat together. Preggo here couldn’t wait.”
I just shrugged and said, “I blame Baby B.”
“Why not Baby A?” Camden asked.
I just laughed. “No idea. Just sounded good.”
“B for Bananas!” Meadow said with a laugh.
“I love you!” I said.
“Are you ready to go eat?” Pen asked as she eyed the pajama pants and tank top I had thrown on after my bath.
“I’ll go put something else on. Where is Emma?”
“She went ahead to the Pizza Palace to save some tables.”
“Great idea,” I said as I grabbed some clothes and went into the bathroom to change quickly. I put on my new maternity shirt that says, “Yes, I am pregnant. No, you can’t touch my belly.” I paired it with my maternity jean shorts and slid my feet into some flip flops.
Soon, we all arrived at Pizza Palace, and I was overwhelmed by the different scents all around. I needed garlic bread, and I needed it quickly. I would definitely blame this craving on Baby A.
I told the waitress that I would give her a double tip if she would get me garlic bread as soon as she could. When she brought out all the drinks, she had a basket of garlic bread with her. I would definitely double her tip.
We had a great meal and a lot of laughs. I wish Meadow lived here permanently, but I was glad Emma had moved here. She fit it with us, and I had a feeling our group name might be changing to the Four Musketeers soon.
My phone began to ring, and I looked down to see Ty was calling.
“Hey, love. Haven’t talked to you in a while.”
“Hey, baby!” Tyler said. “Sorry, I didn’t call you right away. Are you sitting down?”
“Yeah, all of us girls are sitting down to pizza.”
“HEY!” Camden cried out.
