I tutted. “Aww, that’s not good.”
“I feel like I could sleep for a week. Hopefully, she’s better by now.”
“Well, off you go then. Hopefully, you’ll have a better night.”
“Thanks.” She grabbed her bag and disappeared through the glass sliding door, leaving me to the peace of the large marble expanse.
It was a Tuesday night, and as expected, it was quiet. By eleven o’clock, I’d finished all my usual duties; by one o’clock I was bored out of my brain. I grabbed the check-in cards and for a bit of fun, I laid them out on the counter.
First, I shuffled out all the women.
Then, with the driver’s licenses as my main focus, I tried to work out which of the men were married. The license photos were terrible, not only were they grainy and weathered, but there wasn’t one smile amongst them, which was to be expected I guess, given that you’re not supposed to smile for a license photo. In the end, my experiment was pointless.
The glass doors slid open, and the rowdy mob tumbling into the foyer were the same men who’d left the hotel before I’d started my shift. They were as happy as they were loud, hanging off each other’s shoulders and tripping over each other’s feet. I found myself smiling at their frivolity.
“Well, hello.” One of the guys with stylish blond hair and a neatly trimmed beard headed toward me. He sprawled his hands across the marble counter. “What’s your name?”
He had lovely long fingers and no ring. My stomach did a little flutter at how supple his hands were, and his nails were perfectly trimmed. Hands were quickly becoming important to me.
His eyes were a fascinating blue and caught my attention like a moth to a flame. “I’m Jane.”
“Hi, Jane. I’m Mike, pleased to meet you.”More like Magic Mike.He held his hand forward, and when I reached for it, he grasped my fingers and kissed the back of my knuckles. I wanted to fan myself like an old-fashioned movie heroine.
“Hey, Mike, you’re not annoying the lady, are you?” A second man joined Mike, and I just about passed out with his beauty. He had to be a model.Tell me he’s a model. His eyes were the color of the outgoing tide, and his olive skin suggested he came from an exotic culture. And his teeth—oh my god, dazzling perfection. I swallowed, hardly able to believe my eyes, as two of the sexiest men to ever talk to me actually talked to me.
“I’m not annoying you, am I?” Mike’s smile was an equal match to his friend’s.
I shook my head. “No.”
“He’s always annoying.”
“No, I’m not.”
The second man placed his hands on the counter. He did have a ring; however, the chunky gold square with the black stone in the middle was on his right hand.
I’d officially fallen into heaven. A heatwave coursed through me, and as a tidal wave of opportunities flooded my horny brain, I was certain I’d be bright red in a flash. I needed to focus on them, not my quivering insides.
The rest of the men disappeared in the elevator, leaving me alone with the two hotties. I cleared my throat. “Are you here for the conference?”
“Yes.”
“Yep.”
Their smiles were sex magnets.Holy smokes.“Are you both doctors?”
“Yep.”
“Yes.”
Oh, God. Tie me up and spank me now.
Doctor Exotic put his hands on Mike’s shoulders. “Come on, buddy, we’ve got an early start tomorrow.”
I bit my tongue, fearful I’d say something stupid, like, ‘I’m not wearing any panties’.
Mike screwed up his face. “Oh yeah, I forgot about that.” He peeled his hands off the counter. “Bye, Jane.”
“Bye.” For now.
