"I will."
When he closed the door behind Syssi, Kian pulled out his phone and called Turner.
Turner answered after several rings. "Good afternoon, Kian."
"Good afternoon. I hope I'm not interrupting. I just wanted to know if you've heard any news from your teams in regard to Margo and her family's residences and workplaces. Did anyone come snooping around?"
"I've just got off the phone with my assistant. So far, no suspicious activity has been recorded."
Kian was glad that there was no activity but only because he didn't have Guardians in the area to take care of it.
Things were going to change once they returned home.
"Keep me posted if anything changes."
"As soon as I hear anything, I'll let you know."
"Thank you, and I'm sorry about making you work on your vacation."
Turner chuckled. "Don't be. I've realized that I don't enjoy long vacations. I get bored. I like doing what I do too much to want to be away from it for too long."
"I know what you mean, and we are both certifiable. Try to enjoy the rest of the day."
"Same goes for you," Turner said.
Ending the call, Kian sank into his chair and rubbed a hand over his face.
Unless Carlos Modana and the Doomers he was working with had decided to drop the investigation of what happened in Acapulco and what had made Julio change his stripes, they would want to have a talk with Margo and Jasmine, if only to cover their bases.
Now that Margo was transitioning, one problem was solved. She was not going back to her apartment and her old job. She was most likely going to accompany her mate on his journey to Tibet.
Her family was still a big problem that needed to be resolved, though, and naturally, it was up to him. They needed new identities and new jobs, and that was going to cost a bundle.
Perhaps he could get Toven to take care of that. After all, Margo and Frankie were on the cruise at his personal invitation.
Jasmine would be much more difficult to hide and protect.
Her customer service job was easy to replace, but she also had a modest acting career, and that made her face recognizable, so hiding her would be tougher.
Or maybe not?
She could get a new name, a new agent, and maybe, with Brandon's Hollywood connections, better parts.
That wasn't smart, though. Putting Jasmine in front of cameras was too risky. Her looks were too distinct to be forgettable, and not even plastic surgery could do much about it. Besides, the woman didn't need anything done, and she wouldn't want to change what she was given by the Fates.
He needed to find something else for her that would keep her out of the public eye, at least for a couple of years until Modana and the Doomers forgot about her.
The easiest thing would be to put her up in a hotel and ask her to stay put for a few weeks. After that, Toven could arrange a Perfect Match job for her. Given her experience in customer service, that wouldn't be a problem. Those departments always needed new people.

AMANDA
Amanda scanned the dining room for Jasmine and Edgar. "I don't see them." She turned to Dalhu. "Do you?"
She was wearing flats, so he had a good half a head or more over her.
"I don't. Maybe they went to the Lido deck."
