Theo’s jaw dropped ever so slightly at those words. “Green?”

“The colour of your emeralds.”

“Oh my god.”

“It is quite different to this.”

“I imagine it is,” Theo said. “I can’t wait to see it.”

He ran his hand down Baku’s body, trying to imagine how the purple skin would look once green. It was baffling to him, but he realised then that the tiny green freckles he could see on Baku’s chest were probably an indication of how he would be. He leaned in and pressed a kiss against one just above Baku’s nipple. He tasted of the medicinal soap they had lathered each other up with just a half hour ago.

“You will see it soon enough,” Baku said after a moment. “We will need to wait some weeks now before we dose up again. Perhaps even slightly longer than that.” He gestured to the data screen across from them. “We will take our vibrations in the morning, and I will then update my colleagues on how our test went. We will use all the new data to create new calculations. That will tell us when we can take the serum again.”

“We can use the time to get down to Cornwall?” Theo suggested.

“If that is your wish.”

“We will need to do that in your world,” Theo continued as he thought it through. “The route down in mine is completely controlled by the MDF.” He paused. “After the way they responded to us…”

“I imagine they have not seen very many purple humans.”

“No. There were folktales of blue humans once if I remember correctly,” Theo said, trying to remember that old bit of folklore. “They arrived out of nowhere in a village somewhere and disappeared not long after.”

“There are blue people here in my world, Theo,” Baku said. “Likely they slipped through a small rip into yours and then found their way back. We are very closely related though they do have small horns.”

That seemed reasonable to Theo, and he wondered then, and not for the first time, how many of the folktales from his world were based on visitors from Baku’s world. He also marvelled slightly at how quickly he had adjusted to the fact that there were green and blue people and that was all fine!

“Will I meet the blue people if we stay in your world for weeks?” he asked.

Baku shook his head, growling slightly. “They too left this island many years ago. They are equally as susceptible to the rages.”

“Are there any sentient monsters left here?”

“Many but very few who are friendly.”

Theo placed another small kiss on Baku’s chest. Baku growled again. Theo smiled at that because he could feel Baku’s cock hardening a little more, growing a little bigger. The monster was aroused once more. He was constantly aroused. Theo was struggling a little to keep up, but he was giving it a damn good try!

“We’ll go to Cornwall first,” he said after a moment. “Then Tenby, and then we’ll need to think about Normandy.”

“The route to Cornwall from here will take some time,” Baku said. “And not least because there are many forests we must avoid.”

“Doesn’t matter,” Theo said. “That infestation is so large it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.”

“You intend for us to close down all of the infestations?” Baku asked.

“If not us then who?” Theo replied.

Baku smiled again at that. “Theo, I told you that I cannot make rips through distances for us,” he cautioned. “Stopping all the infestations will take us many years simply because of the distances we will need to travel.”

“I can’t believe your people haven’t invented cars,” Theo said, as they had talked about the differences in inventions between their worlds just the night before.

“As I already told you, we did and soon found that their impact on our climate is not worth their convenience. Besides, we can travel by boat once we cross to Europe.” He paused again. “You will meet other sentient monsters there.”

“Friendly monsters?”

“Friendly enough.”

“Will they speak my language?”
