Dani’s body keeps shuddering as I’m massaging her shoulders.

I never would have guessed I’d be massaging my childhood rival right now and be so turned on while doing it.

Her skin feels so good underneath the palms of my hands. It’s soft and smooth like silk.

Fuck, I could do this forever.

“Do you want me to stop?” I ask softly.

I can’t tell if she’s under my spell or if she’s uncomfortable.

She looks to the side, parting her mouth open and lips forming into a small circle as her jaw clenches.

Her gaze meets mine in the mirror as her lips rise up to form a seductive smirk.

I bite down on my bottom lip, struggling to keep my composure. I take my hands off her shoulders, dropping my arms to both sides of my body. “What the hell are you trying to do to me?”

She giggles. “I’m not trying to do anything.”

I roll my eyes and laugh. “Bullshit! You were smirking at me.”

“And your point is?”

“I didn’t think this through.”

“I can see that,” she says.

We both burst into laughter.

The way her face lights up when she smiles or laughs is absolutely everything. I’ll do everything in my power to make her smile or laugh because I love seeing her happy.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Her index and middle fingers are twirling a small tendril of hair.

“Like what?”

“Like that.” She lifts her pointer finger, wiggling it at my face.

I grab her finger to move it away from my face.

“Hey!” Dani yells, extending her hand out just enough for me to intertwine my hand with hers.

I pull her closer to me. There’s no gap between us to have space for us to breathe.

Who needs space anyway?

I look down at her.

She’s glaring at me.

“You know, you’re really cute when you’re angry.”

Her lips shift the side of her mouth after she runs her hand through her beautiful dark brunette hair. “Oh, shut up.”

“Never.”
