When we get into bed, she puts a pillow between us so I don’t bother trying to hold her. At least she isn’t crying tonight and keeping me up, but I’m not spending my honeymoon miserable as fuck, and neither is she.
Chapter 10 - Asher
I spent the first night of my honeymoon fuming instead of making love to someone I care about. Not at all what I pictured in my life, not what was in my dreams. I’m glad that Danil took the hint when I placed the pillow between us, and he didn’t try to hold me. I’ll be doing that for the rest of my life.
Now it’s morning, and I need to get up and do something. I’m not spending my first-ever tropical holiday cooped up in a hotel room.
Forget that.
I get up early and go to the bathroom, wash up, and change into my bikini.
“It’s what I like about you,” Danil says to me as I walk out.
I can’t help but turn to him. “What?”
“You’re a curvy woman, and you’re damn proud of it. You don’t shy away from anything, from what you wear to what you eat. It’s attractive, that kind of confidence.” He gets up, and I try to ignore his morning wood. “If you wait, I’ll join you for breakfast.”
“I would prefer to eat alone,” I say coldly.
“I know you would, but I’m not going to let you. There are many fun things I’ve planned to do because I wanted you to have a good time, and all I’m asking is you give me today to show you around the island.
“You’ve been here before?” I ask.
“Yes, I came here with my brothers when we were younger, in our twenties.” He stretches, and I try not to stare.
“I would prefer to spend my honeymoon alone,” I say again.
“Well, just give me today. Come on, if you hate today, I’ll leave you alone for the rest of the honeymoon.”
I watch him for a moment, thoughts whirling through my head at warp speed.
I want my revenge. I want to claw his eyes out. I want him to feel the hurt as profoundly as he has caused it for me. I want to ruin his life but to do that, I will have to get to know his weaknesses. I can’t just switch, though; he’ll suspect something.
“Fine,” I say. “One day, and if I hate it, you leave me on the beach to drink my sorrows away until it’s time to fly home.”
He holds his hand out. “Deal. Give me five to get showered and dressed.”
I shake his hand and wait outside in the main area of the bungalow. It’s too early to start drinking, especially if I’m going to do activities, but slowly, a plan for revenge is forming in my mind. I can totally get back at him, Danil specifically, without dragging the brothers into it. I’m sure I can come up with something. I’m not devious, but I can be petty as fuck if you cross me badly.
And it doesn’t get worse than this.
I fetch my sunglasses, and as I do, he comes out towel-drying his hair. He’s naked, but the morning wood is gone. The length of his dick surprises me, and he chuckles. “Like what you see.”
“No.” I blush. “You’re just hairier than I imagined.”
He shakes his head and changes into a Speedo and then some board shorts. He puts on an open shirt and puts his sunglasses on his head. “First stop is breakfast. There’s a lovely fruit bar on the beach itself.”
“What are the other activities?” I ask curiously.
“You’ll see. It’s a surprise. You’ll enjoy them, I promise.” He gestures for me to go ahead of him. He does that often, pretending to be a gentleman. Gentlemen do not force you to marry them.
I walk outside and slip my sunglasses on. “Where to?”
“To the right, follow that blue pathway.” He walks just behind me, and I can feel his eyes trained on my ass.
“Look up before you walk into something,” I say quietly.
“Sorry, it’s a good view,” he chuckles.
