I pulled him up to my chest to look at him in amazement and just a little anger. “W-where did you learn this?” I demanded.
He smiled sweetly at me. “Don’t tell Lex, but Rory told me that this is what he does to him. He told me what to do. That’s all right, isn’t it?”
I groaned and laid my head back on the pillow. “Gods, you’ll be the death of me.”
“No, don’t say that,” he cried and threw his arms around my neck. “I was so scared that you wouldn’t wake up and that I’d never get to do this again.”
I was leaking pre-come, and he began to kiss the head of my cock, licking over it eagerly, as if it were the sweetest ambrosia. I threaded my hands through his soft, long curls, my eyes rolling back in my head and unable not to thrust just a little into the velvet heat of his mouth. Leo gagged, and I pulled back at once, but he immediately came back for more and wrapped his lips around me.
“You’re killing me,” I groaned, and threw back my head in pleasure.
“No. Do it again, please. I’m ready now,” he said, and I thrust gently again and again and was pleased that Leo took every inch of me. When I felt my orgasm clawing at me, I pulled out and sprayed onto the sheets. I noted with some satisfaction that some of it landed on my omega’s chin and lips. He licked at them eagerly and I felt my eyelids fluttering closed. I was vaguely aware that he crawled up to lay on top of me with his arms around my neck, and we both fell asleep together in the tightest of embraces.

I awoke to soft voices beside me, and a warm body draped over mine under the covers. I tightened my arm around Leo’s naked body and rose on one elbow to see who had awakened me so early by barging into my private room.
When I saw Harrison and Lex standing at the foot of my bed, I couldn’t help smiling.
“Don’t the two of you have somewhere better to be? I’m fine now. Much better, in fact, so you can stop fretting over me like old women.”
“Who’s fretting?” Harrison said. “I just had to come and see for myself that after lying at death’s door for a part of last week, you’re suddenly feeling well enough to be in bed with your omega. Exactly what kind of healing powers does he have anyway?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” I replied, settling myself more comfortably against the pillows.
Lex came over to sit on the foot of the bed and lean back against the bedpost. “Your color is much better, at least. I was worried when we first arrived, and I got a look at you. You and Leo were the only survivors, you know.”
I nodded and frowned, remembering how hard I’d tried to stop the poison from advancing. “I’m sorry about your men. They all died bravely, Lex. I did all I could, but the magic was too strong, and there were so many of them. I could feel the witch’s power in my bones.”
“I know you tried to help them. It was dark magic, of course. We retrieved a few of the arrows, and they were made of ash wood with iron arrowheads. The priests said they were very old—infused with magic over many years.”
“But who could have done such a thing? And why?”
“We don’t know. They could have been taken from a museum.”
“Why do you say that?”
“When the old kings decided to abolish dark magic, some resisted, as you know. Those were brought here to have their magic bound or to be executed. The priests often confiscated their weapons and they’ve been kept ever since in museums and churches. Harrison thinks they might have come from one of them.”
Leo sat up beside me with a yawn and then realized other people were in the room with us. His eyes widened in alarm and with a squeal, he dived back beneath the covers, burrowing up under me.
Lex laughed softly. “I think we’ve disturbed your omega. Our apologies, Leo.”
Little sounds of distress came from underneath me, and I patted the lumps under the covers beside me. “You just startled him, I think. Leo, do you want to come out and greet Lord Lexington and His Royal Highness, the king?”
The bed shook violently beside me, and I shrugged. “I think that’s a definite no. Perhaps later. You may want to check for any attacks in the vicinity. I sent some of the arrows back to their source. And Leo and I both sent back the fire.”
“If the arrows and the fire were sent from here, then someone may have seen something. I’d like to be in on the questioning if you find the proof you need.”
There was another small upheaval of covers beside me and I smiled at my cousins. “I think Leo is a little impatient. Let me get dressed first, and then I can join you later to discuss this in more detail.”
They moved toward the door then, and Lex gave me a little salute. “Do feel free to carry on, Ash. Whatever it is you’re doing certainly seems to agree with you.”
I laughed and threw a pillow at him as the door closed behind them.
Leo poked his head out from under the covers. “Sorry, but I have to pee.”
“By all means, sweetheart. There’s a chamber pot under the bed.”
