“You do not.” He smiled at the visual her words gave him. He let his gaze skim down her, noting not for the first time she was wearing heels. “But if you’d like to go home and shower or change, I’m fine with it. You can drop me at your office so I can pick up my rental, or I wouldn’t mind riding along. I can get the car after dinner.” He wouldn’t have added that last part if he hadn’t slept in her bed the night before, but he had, so it seemed safe.

“You sure you don’t mind?” She glanced at him. “I’d really like to get out of these heels.”

“I don’t mind. I’d like to get you out of more than those heels, but I’ll settle for those first, then dinner.” He shot her a wink and a teasing grin.

Sierra shook her head with a smile but didn’t reply.

“We can talk about getting you out of more while we eat.”

“You are incorrigible.” She grinned, then laughed. “But I might could be convinced, with the right incentive.”

“Hmm. I’ll have to work on my incentives.”

They fell into a comfortable silence as they made their way back to town.

“Come on inside,” Sierra said as she pulled the car into her driveway. “It won’t take me but a couple minutes to change.”

Unwilling to leave her for long, he followed her inside, wondering if maybe they could put dinner off for an hour or so, and he could help her change.

CHAPTER 6

Sierra unlocked the door and let them inside, acutely aware of heat pooling low in her body every time he looked at her with his half-lidded gaze. Stepping inside, she waited for Blake to follow then closed the door before turning back to him.

“Make yourself at home, I won’t be long.” She turned to go in the bedroom and change clothes.

“Wait.”

The single word stopped her, she turned and looked up at him.

“I meant it when I said you look good the way you are.” Blake moved slowly, approaching her as if giving her a chance to stop him or walk away. He reached out, hooked an arm around her waist and tugged her against him as his head lowered.

She stood, breathless, and watched his mouth descend. The memory of his taste was enough to make her not stop him. The tingle of her lips an instant before his brushed against hers, hesitant at first then with more pressure. A moment later she was absorbed in the intense need she felt in his touch, his fingers curled into her skin as she opened her mouth against his to let his tongue dip inside.

Without conscious thought, her arms lifted and went around his neck. She let her body go soft and pliant against him as her own desires overwhelmed the smarter thoughts from her brain.

Sierra didn’t know how long they stood in her foyer only that she slowly became aware of him unbuttoning her blouse while her fingers tugged the hem of his shirt from his jeans.

“What about dinner?” Her words came out husky with need.

“Later.” His teeth playing along the side of her neck and drove all reasonable thought from her mind.

She found herself going along as he walked her backward to the bedroom they’d left that morning, then stripped her out of her clothes while she tugged at his.

Desperate hands dragged and pulled at clothes then skin as the desperation to have him closer grew. His gaze seemed as palpable as his hand caressing her body, enflaming her senses. He cupped her breasts, teasing the tips as he watched her face. Sierra wanted to close her eyes, just feel without the self-conscious part of her brain screaming at her about imperfections.

He moved lower, teasing her senses until she forgot to worry about how he saw the small pooch of her tummy or her too-wide hips. All that mattered was his touch, the look of heat in his eyes and the press of his body against hers.

He teased her until she was ready to scream. Her body was on fire with need. The pleasure-pain of her need nearly brought her to tears. When he finally donned a condom and pushed into her, her head fell back, and a low moan crept from her throat as waves of pleasure washed through her. He didn’t stop. Instead, he pushed her to higher and higher peaks of pleasure. She couldn’t stop her fingers from curling into his skin as he thrust her past anything she’d ever felt before. A scream of release tore itself from her throat. He groaned then stilled above her before letting his head drop to her shoulder as he dragged in a ragged breath, then another.

“I don’t ever want this moment to end.” His voice was barely more than a whisper. He pulled back, dropped a soft kiss on her forehead then stood and disappeared into the attached bathroom.

Sierra was still laying limp and naked across the bed when he stepped back in the room, as naked as she was.

“You still want to go to dinner?” He gave her a cocky grin. “Or we could order in.”

“Good luck with that.” Sierra forced herself to sit up, then stand on muscles that were loose, relaxed, and wanted to stay put for a while. “The only place that delivers is pizza, and that’s barely fit to eat.”

“If the food’s not good, how do they stay in business?” He watched her walk across the room, a frown creasing his brow.
