Relief washes over me, but it doesn’t feel that way when Feliks picks up his pace. I’m like a rolling fountain of lava as William’s heads to the door, his hands pushing on it. Feliks slams his fingers harder, the beds of my nails turning white with how hard I grip the shelf.

This is so twisted. First Vlad, now Feliks. But I'd be lying if I said I wanted it to stop. Blame his long fingers or the way he grips my ass in that possessive way. Or—Oh fuck.

The book falls from my mouth as a moan escapes me. The room blurs around me and my legs shake, but Feliks keeps me there, toying with my body until I can’t stand.

Another moan escapes me, louder this time without the book to keep me quiet. Feliks stands to his feet, his hand coming to my mouth and when I open my eyes, William is still in the store, his head pointed this way.

Shit.

“Hello?” He moves towards us, my eyes wide and there’s no way he didn’t hear me come all over Feliks’ fingers. Pushing off the shelf, I try to get away. “Mia?” But it’s too late.

“Told you to be quiet,” Feliks says in his nonchalant manner, like he didn’t work me to oblivion with his magic touch.

Turning around, William’s eyes are as wide as mine.

My body stiffens as he stares between us.

Shit.

Feliks leans against the shelf, nodding to William like a casual greeting in an alley.

“Mia, who is this?” William demands, his hands in fists. His expensive navy blue suit offsets Feliks’ relaxed attire. So does the scowl on his face. “Mia, I asked you a question.”

My mouth twists.

He still thinks I belong to him. He still thinks he has power over me outside of our domain. He still—

“Her boyfriend,” Feliks says.

My what?

Feliks’ hand comes around my waist in a tight grip, pulling me closer to his side. Those fingers dig into my abs and my cheeks warm when I remember where they just were. “Right, Bunny?”

I blink, looking between them.

“Excuse me?” William looks like he’s trying to decipher the Da Vinci Code.

A warm hand grabs my wrist and in the next second, I’m against Feliks’ chest. He peers into my eyes, his golden and sparkly. Before I have the chance to say anything else, his lips land on mine and the floor beneath me shakes.

When he slides his tongue over my piercing, a sweet, herby taste fills my mouth. It mixes with the tangy-sweet taste of me, and hell, that does something to my twisting gut. My head spins so much I’m dizzy, even with my eyes closed. His grip on me tightens, and it’s not as rough as Dom's kisses, but it's as overbearing. So overbearing I forget William's there until he speaks.

“Wait until your father hears about this.” William’s voice rips me away from my piece of heaven. Pushing on Feliks’ chest, his eyes stay on me and he looks as transfixed as I am.

William storms towards the door as my world comes crashing back. “Fe-Feliks.” My voice shakes when I say his name. “What did you do?” If my father hears about this, he’ll raise hell. If my father hears about this, there really will be a war, and staying in Clementine will be the last of his concerns. “William, wait!”

Feliks’ hand comes to mine, stopping me from moving towards the door as it jingles to a close. He spins me around until my chest slams against his again. Is that my heartbeat or his? And why is it so fast? “Stand strong, Bunny. Don’t buckle.”

“I’m not safe.” A burn comes to my throat, my eyes blurring before my head falls on his chest. “You’re not safe.” And if William finds out he’s with Dom, none of them are.

I shouldn’t care. It shouldn’t matter. But no one deserves the wrath of my father. Tears stream onto Feliks’ chest, the ones I reserved for Nani, and I’m surprised when his arms wrap around me.

My muscles stiffen, but it’s only for a second before I fall deeper into his hold. It's a surprising blanket of comfort to how I really feel. Scared and alone. No words come between us for a moment, a weight lifting off me.

“Don’t be such a wimp.” Feliks pushes me until my back hits the shelf. As he walks away, he pushes a line of books to the floor. There goes our moment. “Get back to work, Mia."

Feliks is quiet the rest of our shift, tending to Nani’s cafe.
