There was still nothing defined in what they shared.
What they had wasn't something Scotti had had in a long time; it wasn't the same emotions; it didn't have the casual excitement her other relationships used to have.
This, Scotti understood, was not something she could easily replicate anywhere else.
It was Naomi alone she wanted. She couldn't fight the way her feelings increasingly skyrocketed each time she was around Naomi.
But Naomi wasn't ready for this. In fact, Scotti feared that if she told Naomi the gravity of how she really felt for her, Naomi would call everything off.
Scotti knew how badly she'd be hurt by that. In the past, she'd had casual relationships like this. None of them had ended right. The last one had gone off and gotten married to a man.
The other ones were not a better story either. They all seemed to have their lives already planned and accomplished and their relationship with her was their own stumbling block.
Scotti was used to being women’s dabble into sapphic attraction. She was used to being women’s bit on the side.
Scotti was used to not ever being anyone’s happy ever after.
Each time, Scotti had had to deal with her broken heart alone. Something told her this relationship too was tending toward that path.
Scotti managed to hide her thoughts as she came into the kitchen and cleaned up.
Naomi had arisen from the floor and sat at the table, naked and watching her.
Fuck, she is so very beautiful.
Naomi’s green eyes were glazed with lust.
“Go on a date with me,” Naomi blurted suddenly.
Scotti thought she had misheard. She held the mop limply in her hand as she stared at Naomi waiting for her to repeat what she'd said.
Naomi looked shy. Her eyes darted around the room to everything but Scotti herself.
“Naomi?”
“I'm asking you out on a date, Scotti. What do you say?”
This was the first time Naomi was asking. Scotti didn't know what to say. But she knew she didn't want to turn Naomi down.
“Do you have a free day?” Scotti asked instead.
“I'll make time for us... That's if you say yes, of course.”
“I'll go on a date with you, Naomi.”
Naomi grinned broadly. “Alright then, let's have coffee to celebrate, shall we?”

Naomi
Though Naomi had grinned when Scotti had said yes to their date, Naomi had no idea what she'd been thinking when she'd asked Scotti out.
It wasn't that she regretted it, it was that the words had escaped her mind and mouth in a moment when she was unguarded and caught up by Scotti's charm and the post orgasm haze, and now she was responsible for ensuring that the date went perfectly.
She had an idea for hotel reservations but wondered how much Scotti would prefer that compared to going to an art gallery or an exhibition like a real date. In one of their conversations, Scotti had mentioned her love for art and for finding out the hidden messages in it.
But Naomi was interested in having a date where they could get naughty and sneak away to themselves for a moment or two. She didn't see the possibility of that being very comfortable in an art gallery considering how loudly she moaned whenever Scotti touched her.
