Same with the pictures. It’s fine because there will be more. So many more. We’ll have a house fucking full of them.

I pull my cell from my pocket and click dial on Finn’s contact.

“Yo,” he answers.

“Amber’s on her way to clear out her shit. I expect it on fire by the time she gets there. Acknowledge, soldier.”

Finn lets out a sinister chuckle and I can only imagine the devilish smirk he’s sporting right about now. “Fucking heard.”

CHAPTER 39

JONSIE

“How the fuck did I let you talk me into this?” Daphne sighs, shoving open the car door.

“Oh, come on.” I smirk. “You really thought I wasn’t going to throw you a bachelorette party?”

“No, bitch. I fully expected you to throw me a bachelorette party. However, I thought it would be me and you. Girls’ night, party of two. We didn’t need to include the riffraff.”

“That riffraff is your bridal party!” I laugh, hopping out the driver side and rounding the car.

“Exactly!” She tosses her hands up. “I’ve gotta see these bitches enough as it is. I couldn’t get a night off?”

“Sure, exclude your cousins and future sister-in-law so I can be on the receiving end of your mother’s wrath? No, thank you. Hard pass.” I loop my arm through hers as I force her to walk in step with me toward the club. “Come on, it will be fine. We’re here, we’re all dressed up, looking fine as hell. Let’s go in there and enjoy ourselves. After a few shots, you won’t even remember these other girls are here.”

Daphne huffs, dramatically blowing out a breath. “Fine,” she relents. "Only ‘cause we do look fire. And I thank you for not making me wear some stupid sash or some shit like that.”

“So, you mean to tell me you don’t want the crown?” I reach into my clutch, withdrawing a small tiara.

Daph’s head rolls in my direction, gaze pinging between my eyes and the plastic prop in my hand. “Okay, yes, I want the crown.”

I giggle as she snatches it up, situating it on her head.

“How do I look?” She positions her hand under her chin as she dramatically bats her eyelashes at me.

“Gorgeous, as always.” I smile.

She does. She looks breathtaking. Her long auburn hair has been straightened and pulled back into a sleek high pony. Her form fitting white dress is cut into a deep V in the front, exposing the swell of her breasts. It fits her like a second skin, hugging her in all the right places as it comes to stop mid-thigh. She tops the whole thing off with a pair of sky-high red pumps which match the shade of her lips tonight. “You’re gonna be breaking necks tonight dressed like that.”

“Yeah, well, I had to pull out all the stops if I was going to stand next to you looking like that! Damn, Jones. You trying to break some hearts tonight?” She grips hold of my hand, forcing me to twirl.

“Shut up,” I laugh, waving her off. I pull at the super short fabric of my simple strapless forest green cocktail dress, ensuring my ass isn’t out. Hoodies and shorts may be my staple outfit of choice, but for Daph’s big night I made an exception. I’m really rocking the height tonight with my four-inch black strappy heels with gold chain accents that match my clutch. I went big with the barrel curls and gold chandelier earrings, topping the whole look off with a super dramatic black smokey eye.

Caleb wasn’t a fan. He spent a solid twenty minutes before I left trying to get me to change. Maybe I would have had he not suggested that I was asking for trouble wearing such a short dress. Like whether or not I have pants on warrants whether I deserve respect from the opposite sex. As you can imagine, I had a few choice words in response to that comment and told him I’d be crashing with Daph tonight. Luc’s out of town anyway, so she could use the company.

We approach the entrance of Lounge, finding Jessie, Michelle, Leah, and Maddison waiting for us outside.

“Daphne!” Michelle, Luc’s little sister, squeals as she rushes her for a hug.

I know she drives Daph nuts, but I get the impression she really is just genuinely excited about gaining a sister. Daph plays nice, embracing her with a smile.

The girls are dressed to the nines and all look genuinely excited for our night out. Even Maddison, who’s normally scowling about something. “Hey, Daph.” She smiles, offering up air kisses toward her.

“Maddison,” Daphne curtly acknowledges, earning her a play nice nudge from me.

Maddison doesn’t seem to notice, launching into a rant. “Oh my God. He’s actually here tonight. I saw him walking in the side door when we were pulling up. So fucking hot.” Maddison bites her lip while pretending to fan herself.

“Who?” I laugh, wondering who’s got her all hot and bothered.
