He growled. “Ashbourne. Go sit the fuck down. Osiris and Briar with me. Beck watch her.” He pushed me to the side and left the house.
Osiris touched my head before leaving.
Briar stole a quick kiss before leaving me and Beck alone.
I glanced at Beck, who was still at the island, eating a bowl of cereal. He shrugged, and I sighed, moving back to the couch.
“Why were you saying Nero’s name?” Beck asked, brows pulling.
My face heated up as I remembered my dream before Kier woke me up. Now I would never get to be fucked by Nero.
Osiris
“Are you going to explain to us why you just burst into the house covered in blood?” I asked as we pulled up to an off-grid mansion style house. I had never seen it before, and I didn’t peg my brother as the gothic type.
“No,” he snapped, pulling into the driveway and parking. Together we got out and followed him.
I looked back at Briar, trying to understand, but neither of us understood. Kier had a mission and wasn’t supposed to be back until two days.
Kier walked through the house like he understood it. He let us down the stairs to a huge wine cellar. Passing the racks of wine, he pushed a door open.
A vicious growl reached my ear, making me want to pull out my weapon. What was this? A trap?
No, not from my brother.
“You brought it?” Theron’s voice asked.
Had he gone feral?
But the moment I stepped inside, I saw a man chained to the dark side of the huge room.
“Kier?” I asked, eyes glued on the man.
Kier handed Theron a bag.
The vampire rushed at me, and I barely flinched because he couldn’t reach me.
His chestnut hair was matted to his olive-tanned skin. His upper body was barely showing off all the tattoos, though I didn’t think he cared.
The vampire reached for me, aching for my blood.
“Is that Cozen?” Briar asked, making my blood run cold. Psalm’s childhood best friend. The one that fixed her arm wasn’t… human anymore. He couldn’t fix her arm or talk to her. His red eyes gave him away, and the fangs bared from his mouth.
“I thought she would see him soon. Not like this.” My head spun as I ran my hand through my hair.
“None of this leaves this fucking room,” Kier growled. “Psalm will not know that he is a vampire now.”
