She doesn’t say anything for a moment but then looks at me, far more awake. “If we’re committed, then I’m okay with no condom as long as you swear you’re clean.”
“I’m clean,” I promise her. “I get tested regularly. Have ever since I found out Maggie cheated on me. And it became habit. I would never risk you like that, Eden.”
She gives me a soft smile. “I know. I got a new shot recently, so I’m good, and I had to do a STD test before I could get it so I’m clear too.” Then she gives me a coy smile. “So, now we’ve established that, how about you go ahead and fuck me, and let me see how well those fancy piercings feel inside me without anything in the way?”
I grin at her, and then I turn her around and lift her so that her back is braced against the tree and I can grip her hips with one hand and line myself up with the other. Her eyes widen as she feels the piercings scraping along her inner walls as I ease my way inside her. “Oh, fuck,” she gasps. “Oh, fuck that feels so good. Give me more, Daddy.”
Why is that so fucking hot? I jerk at the command, driving me further inside her, and making her give a low cry, her lower body squirming to adjust to the angle. “Fucking hell, baby girl,” I grit out between clenched teeth. “You feel so fucking good. Never taking you gloved again.”
The moment I feel her relax, I move my hips harder and faster, fucking her with everything I have as I stare in to her eyes. They’re glazed over with desire, lust, and ecstasy. “Yes, yes, yes,” she chants. “Just like that, Viper. Just like that.”
“That’s it, Eden, give it to me,” I coax, moving one hand between us so that I can find her clit. I rub it hard and fast, giving her the last little bit she needs as she buries her face in my neck and screams as her orgasm throws her over the edge. It feels so fucking good I don’t bother trying to hold mine back, letting her body pull me over the edge with her, and my own groan echoing through the trees.
When I’m finally spent, I still, pressing her against the tree and locking my weak knees to keep us from falling. Both of us are breathing hard and heavy, and it’s the first time in a long time that my mind is completely quiet, and I feel so damn content. I guess knowing this woman is mine is what I was missing.
After a few more minutes of trying to compose myself, I finally pull out of her, and gently set her down on her feet. “I love you, Eden,” I murmur before letting her go.
She gives me a sleepy smile. “I love you too, Viper.” I kiss her quickly, before we quickly get to work on righting our clothes. When we emerge from the trees, I pull her over to the picnic tables and sit her on my lap when I climb up on it. “Shouldn’t we go in to Archer?” she asks me.
I smile at her. “Rose is with him, so we have another couple minutes. But I need to know that you’re okay first. I’ve been so concerned about Archer, and you running out to deal with Maggie, means I haven’t had time to really check in with you.”
She stills and looks up at me in surprise. “I’m fine,” she says with a shrug.
“Eden,” I growl at her warningly.
She rolls her eyes. “Seriously, Viper, I’m fine. Maybe tomorrow I won’t be, but I don’t regret killing that guy or injuring the other. They would have killed us, or taken Archer and killed me, and I was never going to let that happen. I will probably take some time off work until things get settled though. Probably doesn’t look good if I show up in a courtroom with that hanging over my head.”
“They already said they weren’t going to charge you,” I remind her.
“But it’s not them that will make the final call,” she says with a tired sigh. “It’s the City Prosecutor who does, and if they want to indict me then they will. And considering it seems like he might be in on whatever this vendetta is against your club, there’s a good chance they could do it. But I’m alright.”
“It won’t happen,” I vow. No way in hell will we let that happen. I don’t care what I have to do, but Eden will not be taken away from me for a righteous shooting in the eyes of the law, or for protecting my son.
“Don’t stress about it,” she soothes. “I’m not going to. Maybe he’ll decide there is no way for him to spin it so he can win, and that will be the end of it. But we need to be prepared for it.”
“We’ll handle it,” I confirm, kissing the top of her head and tightening my grip on her ever so slightly. “But I want to know if you’re ever not fine, Eden. Just like I’m going to do the same for Archer. Neither of you will ever have to deal with any of this alone.”
“We’re probably going to have to find someone for Archer to talk to,” she warns me. “He’s still growing up, and his brain is not even close to being fully developed enough to process all of this. And with the betrayal of his mother, he’s going to need us even more.”
“And we’ll be there for him no matter what. And you’re right. Shadow had a great guy who he talked to, so maybe we can talk to him, or at least maybe that guy can recommend a good person for Archer to talk to.”
She nods. “Good.”
We’re silent as we sit there for another few minutes. “We’re going to make this work, Eden,” I vow. “You and me, but first we need to fix our living arrangements. I want us to live together, so we’re going to have to find a new apartment that’s big enough for all three of us. Mine is no longer an option, and yours is too small.”
I expect her to argue, or say that it’s too soon, but she surprises me by responding with, “Okay. We can start looking in the morning.”
I smile. “Good.” I stand with her still in my arms. “We better head inside. We need a shower and then we need to get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day.”
She smiles up at me. “Yeah, I got that. But we’re not showering together,” she warns me.
“We’ll see,” I say noncommittally.
An hour later, after we did indeed shower together, Eden climbs into bed on one side of Archer, while I climb in on the other side after I’ve seen Bullet and Rose out and thanked them. Thank fuck my bed in this room is big enough to accommodate all three of us. Archer stirs then curls in to Eden, who wraps an arm around him and holds him close. My heart clenches at the sight, and then I lay down and hold them both.
My son is safe, and Eden is mine. That’s all I need to make a shit day one of the best in a long time.
