“We do!” Kelsey nodded. “Perhaps you’re teaching me to be a bit more factual.”

Isabella laughed. “Honey, if you’ve got it, own it.”

Kelsey laughed with her. “Okay, let’s go back to St. John. What’s next?”

Isabella turned back to her computer but noted Kelsey’s shyness when talking about her beauty. She stole a glance towards Kelsey and wondered if she realized just how beautiful she was. Isabella knew she had been turning heads all her life. There was something about blond hair and blue eyes coupled with her Southern accent that made people notice her. But Kelsey had more than just good looks. She had a presence about her that was inviting and friendly.

“You’re staring at me, not the itinerary,” Kelsey said.

Isabella snapped her attention back to her computer.

Kelsey looked away from her tablet as Isabella stared at her computer. Before she could say anything, Luis walked up with their drinks.

“Here you go,” he said, handing each of them a large glass full of their chosen frozen concoctions.

“Thanks,” they both said.

“Can I bring you anything else?”

“I don’t think so,” Kelsey said, glancing at Isabella.

“If you need anything, I’m right over there,” he said, pointing to a small bar nestled between several palm trees. “Just wave. I’ll come around to check on you in a little while.”

“Thanks, Luis,” Isabella said.

“Mmm, this is good,” Kelsey moaned, taking a sip of her drink.

Isabella tried hers and nodded.

“What were you thinking while you were staring at me?” Kelsey asked.

Isabella eyed her and sipped from her straw. “After another one of these I might tell you.”

Kelsey raised her brows and couldn’t help wondering what was going through Isabella’s head. Was she thinking about me?

“I think it would be fun to ride bikes around the island,” Isabella said, turning back to her computer.

“We could do that then stop at the bar Carmen told us about. Oh my God!” Kelsey exclaimed. “The name of the bar is Peaches. That’s so gay.”

“It is?”

“Yes. Take it from your new lesbian friend,” Kelsey said, chuckling. She watched as Isabella furrowed her brows, thinking how cute the little line that formed between them was.

“Well, new lesbian friend, would you care to explain it to your new straight friend?” Isabella said.

“Are you?” Kelsey couldn’t stop herself from teasing Isabella just a little.

“Am I what? Straight? Or your friend?”

“Oh, you’re definitely my friend,” Kelsey said. “Have you ever thought about a woman as a partner?”

“Honestly, Kels, I’ve never really thought about a partner other than Spence,” Isabella admitted.

“But now that you’ve met me, maybe you should give women a thought or two,” Kelsey said with a grin.

“Oh, you’re teasing me,” Isabella said.
