A flutter awakened in Elena’s stomach. It seemed that Cat said or did something nearly every day to make those little flutters a common occurrence.

Cat walked over to her chair and sat down. “I’ve been thinking,” she began.

“About?” Elena said, joining her.

“I think we should go shopping.”

“Shopping?”

“Yeah. I’ve told you how indulging in my sexy underthings makes me feel.”

“Underthings?” Elena chuckled.

“Yes. Maybe they’d give you a little lift the way they do me,” Cat explained.

“Lift?” Elena snickered, looking down at her chest.

“I swear, Elena Burkett. Sometimes you are too much.”

Elena laughed. “That’s why you love me.”

Cat joined her laughter. “It's true.”

“I think Cory and Vi enjoyed hanging out with us last night,” Elena said.

“Ah, changing the subject. Okay.” Cat grinned. “Cory came by this morning and asked if we could all do it again. She wants to take us to The Neon Rose.”

“I’m not sure I know it.” Elena furrowed her brow.

“It’s a favorite LGTBQ hangout. Cory and the owner dated briefly,” Cat explained.

“Oh?”

“They were better as friends.”

Elena nodded. “I’d love to go.”

“Okay. I’ll tell her.”

“I still can’t get over their ‘I love you’ story.”

Cat laughed. “You should’ve been there.”

“Tell me again. I love it.”

“They were going on this big date and CeCe was doing Vi’s hair. They still hadn’t said I love you yet, but you’ve seen them. You can tell they’re head over heels for each other. Anyway,” she continued, “CeCe and I thought we’d have a little fun, so I went over while Vi was getting her hair styled. We both crossed our arms and looked at her in the mirror.”

“What did she do?”

Cat chuckled. “She thought we were ganging up on her. As her hair fell over her eyes she proceeded to tell us how amazing our big sister is and how much she loves her.”

Elena laughed. “Is that when CeCe moved the hair from her eyes?”

“Yep and there stood Cory with her mouth hanging open, looking at her in the mirror. It was so cute! They were both shocked, but it didn’t take them long to declare their love. Then they shared the sweetest kiss.”

“Aww, what a moment.”

Cat nodded. “CeCe had to run Cory off so she could finish Vi’s hair.”
