“Oh, that’s right. Alexis mentioned that you two knew each other. Enjoy the party. I’ll come find you,” Cat said.

Sometime later, Cory left a few bottles of opened champagne on the table so she and Cat could join the party.

“Uh oh,” Cat said, coming around from behind the table. “Mom has them cornered. We should save our sister.”

“Let’s go,” Cory said.

CeCe sighed as she watched Cory and Cat walking toward her.

“Mom must have mentioned the big wedding,” Cory whispered.

“Several years ago Mom entered us in this contest,” CeCe began when her sisters arrived at her side.

“And we won!” Christine exclaimed.

“Won?” Alexis looked at CeCe.

CeCe nodded. “We won an exclusive wedding.”

Alexis's eyes widened. “Wow!”

“But it’s for all three of us,” Cory added.

“All three?” Alexis asked.

Cat nodded. “All three of us have to get married in one big wedding,” Cat said with zero enthusiasm.

“Three sisters and their loves,” Christine said, clapping her hands.

“CeCe is the first to get engaged.” Cory grinned. “I’m so happy for you both. You are perfect together!”

“Thanks, Cory,” Alexis said. “So we’re all getting married together?” she asked, sounding confused.

“We can talk about it later, babe,” CeCe said.

“You’d better get busy finding Cory and Cat their soulmates. Oh wait, you say the love of your life now, right?” Christine said dramatically, holding her hand to her chest.

“I’m sorry, CeCe,” Cat said. “There's no way I’m getting married, so I guess none of us will get the fancy wedding.”

“Hold on, Cat,” Alexis said. She looked at CeCe and smiled. “I never thought I’d fall in love again. And there was no way I was ever getting married.”

“That’s right. Lex told me that from the beginning, but our hearts had a better idea.”

“And here we are. I never imagined I’d ever be this happy,” Alexis said, putting her arm around CeCe.

“Keep your heart open, Cat.” CeCe smiled at Alexis. “You never know what can happen.”

Cat wanted to believe she could find the kind of love CeCe and Alexis shared. At one time, she thought she’d had it. How could she trust her heart to know? Because it didn’t with Hattie. But right now, watching her sister, she wanted that. She wanted to love and be loved like that.

Tears stung Cat’s eyes. To keep from crying, she quickly turned around and her eyes locked on Elena’s. Could I love again? Could it be…

Cat shook those thoughts out of her head and took a couple of steps towards Elena.

“You never mentioned this big wedding,” Elena said, raising her eyebrows.

“That’s because it’s my mom’s dream, not mine,” Cat said.

Elena gave Cat a sad smile and she couldn’t help but wonder what that was about. She reached out and put her hand on Elena’s arm. “Is this making you miss Dean or think about your wedding?”
