Cat chuckled. “Is love in the air or what? Cory has the champagne loaded into coolers so we can roll them into the back room.”

“I’ve got the glasses,” Elena said, taking two sacks off the bar.

Cat rolled one of the coolers into the salon with Elena walking beside her. “CeCe’s co-workers have the food ready.”

Everyone waited quietly and Cat could only imagine how surprised Alexis would be, but also happy.

Cory rolled the other cooler beside Cat’s and grinned.

“I take it Vi is happy with your business idea.” Cat smiled at her sister.

“She asked me out,” Cory said excitedly.

“That’s great,” Elena said.

“I know, she wanted to celebrate our agreement tonight,” Cory said.

“Oh, bummer,” Cat commented.

“No, it’s okay. She’s going with me to make a delivery at Lovers Landing tomorrow.”

“I don’t guess you’ll be swimming and hanging out at the beach?” Cat asked.

“That’s the plan,” Cory said with a sparkle in her eyes.

“Be careful, big sister. You know what they say about Lovers Landing.”

Cory grinned and raised her brows.

“What happens? What don’t I know?” Elena said.

“There’s magic at Lovers Landing,” Cat said. “It’s where women fall in love.”

“I’m going to see if I can hear them.” Cory walked to the door and put her ear against it.

“You’re right,” Elena said quietly next to Cat. “Love is in the air.”

“Told you.” Cat gave Elena a grateful smile. “I was in such a bad mood when you came in earlier and now all I feel is happiness.”

Cory knocked on the door and they could hear CeCe yell, “Come on in! She said yes!”

They wheeled the coolers through the door and the party began.

Cat and Cory began filling glasses with champagne as their friends streamed in and surrounded the happy couple. Alexis showed off her ring and Cat could feel the joy from across the room.

“Do you need any help?” Elena asked, sidling up next to Cat.

“No, I think everyone has a drink in this first wave of people,” Cat said. “Do you see those women talking to CeCe and Alexis?”

Elena nodded. “Oh! That’s Krista Kyle.”

Cat smiled. “It is. She’s with her wife and friends. That’s the Lovers Landing crew. Give me a minute and I’ll introduce you to them.”

“It’s okay. I know you’re busy,” Elena said shyly.

“It’ll slow down and I’ll introduce you. I want them to meet you, Elena,” Cat said with a smile.

“There’s Victoria Stratton and Shelby. Dean did some work with them. I should say hello.”
