The couples’ smiles lit up the dusky evening sky.
“I don’t get to use their real names very often unless they’ve done something wrong. But this, my precious daughters, is the most right thing you've ever done.” Christine smiled at the couples. “You may now kiss.”
The three couples shared a meaningful kiss full of promise and devotion.
“May I present my married daughters and their beautiful wives,” Christine said, holding out her hands.
They all turned towards the crowd as applause and whoops rang out and echoed over the water.
“Let’s dance,” Christine said.
The music started, the bar opened, and the food was ready on the deck.
Their friends and family congratulated the couples as the party began. Each couple had a special song to dance to, but the crowd went wild when they all began to salsa. Vi and Cory had taught them well. After the salsa dance, everyone joined them on the dance floor.
Christine stood alone at the edge of the group and gazed out at all the happy faces. “Oh, honey,” she said quietly. “I know you’re here with us; I feel you every day. We did the right thing saving that money so they could do this together. Just look at them: CeCe is swooning, Cory is swearing, and our baby, Cat, is swirling in the love we created.”
