That’s what Vi wanted to hear. She pulled Cory’s lips to her and kissed her with such love.

Vi pulled away and grinned at Cory before they both looked around the room and saw the other stylists as well as their clients clapping for them.

“Okay,” CeCe said. “Now that we know you’re in love, why don’t you let me finish your girlfriend’s hair and you can go on this romantic date.”

Vi kissed Cory again. “I’ll pick you up later.”

Cory grinned. “I love you, Violet.”

“I know.” Vi giggled. “I love you, too.”

“Go!” CeCe shouted.

Vi sat back in the chair, but Cory kissed her one more time.

“Oh, I love this, CeCe. I can’t believe it’s my hair.”

CeCe had swept Vi’s dark hair on top of her head into a loosely swirled bun. She had wisps that fell down and framed her face.

“Cory won’t be able to keep her eyes off of you,” CeCe said with a pleased smile.

Vi smiled and kept looking at her hair. She’d put her hair up in a bun before, but it never looked like this. Vi couldn’t believe how beautiful her hair looked.

“Let me warn you, though. Cory can wear a suit, if you know what I mean,” CeCe said, lowering her voice.

“I can’t wait,” Vi replied. “I’ve seen her in heels, but that was at the gym in her volleyball clothes.”

CeCe laughed. “She's something, that’s for sure. I hope you have a wonderful night.”

“Thanks, CeCe. And thanks for this beautiful hairstyle,” Vi said as she reached into her purse.

“Keep it. This one is on me. Give my sister a night you’ll both never forget,” CeCe said with a sweet smile.

Vi pulled up to Cory’s house. The bungalow was cute and reminded her of Cory—not in a classic way, but more playful and homey. It was clean cut and well kept.

She walked up to the front door and took a steadying breath before ringing the doorbell. When Cory opened the door, Vi smiled broadly and looked into Cory’s vibrant blue eyes. Then her gaze traveled so she took in all of Cory and she lost her breath.

Cory stood in front of her in a suit as CeCe had told her, but she wasn’t prepared for how the sapphire blue single breasted one button blazer with matching shorts accentuated Cory’s athletic frame and long legs. Her blond hair was wavy and free flowing in a modern style. This woman was a golden-haired goddess in heels.

“Cory, you look beautiful,” Vi said, finally finding her voice.

Vi hadn’t noticed the look on Cory’s face as she was taking in her suit, but now she saw that Cory was just as speechless as she had been.

“Violet,” Cory began. “I know you’re a beautiful woman, but tonight you look absolutely stunning.”

Vi giggled. She was wearing a sleeveless black midi dress with a calculated slit up the side. The sleeveless bodice had a square neckline with tank straps and hugged Vi’s curves. The updo CeCe had beautifully styled accentuated her neck and shoulders.

“Please, come in,” Cory said, reaching for Vi’s hand.

Once inside Cory closed the door and stepped back to admire Vi once again. “Absolutely gorgeous,” Cory mumbled. “Everyone will be staring at my girlfriend tonight.”

Vi chuckled. “Nope, they’ll be staring at mine. Cory! That suit!”

The smile on Cory’s face melted Vi’s heart. Vi put her hands on Cory’s shoulders and then clasped them behind Cory’s neck. She felt Cory rest her hands on Vi’s hips and they simply stared into each other’s eyes.

“I love you,” Vi said.
