“I’ve never been this happy, Mom,” Cory said.

“Welcome to the family, Vi. We’ve been waiting for you,” Christine said.

Vi gasped. “That’s what Cory told me!”

“She wasn’t the only one. I want all my girls to find the kind of love I had with their dad. I can see it in those baby blue eyes that I gave them. Cory and CeCe have found their loves.”

“I’m not sure what is going on with Cat and Elena, but I’m going to find out,” CeCe said.

“Leave them alone,” Christine said. “They’ll tell us when it’s time for us to know.”

Cory exchanged a look with CeCe and they both replied, “Yes ma’am.”

“Hey,” Krista said, walking up and hugging the newly engaged couple.

“Congratulations,” Melanie said. “I see the Lovers Landing magic is alive and well, but I think you two were already in love that first day you came out to see us.”

Vi shared a look with Cory and nodded. “You’re probably right, but Lovers Landing certainly seemed to bring out the honesty that day.”

“It did,” Cory agreed. “It felt easy to tell Violet exactly what I was feeling without too much fear.”

Vi chuckled. “You kept telling me to trust you and I did.”

“Don’t get any ideas about playing on Cory’s volleyball team,” Olivia said, walking up to them. “You belong with us.”

Vi laughed. “It’s more fun playing against each other. I win either way because I get to go home with her.”

Cory scoffed. “You’d better watch that trash talking. You won’t beat us every time.”

“We’ll see,” Vi said, winking at Cory.

“Thanks for being here with us.”

“We wouldn’t miss it,” Frankie said.

The party continued with toasts to the new couple from their friends.

Later, as they pulled into the driveway of their new home, Cory sighed. “What a happy day.”

“It ain’t over yet, babe. I have been saving a very expensive bottle of wine for a special occasion.”

Cory looked over at Vi and chuckled. “It isn’t the bottle you bought that day, is it?”

Vi nodded with a sexy smile.

They got out of the car and Vi unlocked the front door. “Thank you for being patient with me about spending the first night in our new home.”

Cory walked through the door and Vi followed her and closed it.

“You’re welcome, but why did you want to wait?”

“Because,” Vi said, wrapping her arms around Cory’s neck, “I intend to make love to you in every room of our home tonight as my fiancée.”

Cory giggled. “I love you, Violet. Which room first?”

Vi grinned. “May as well start here and work our way to our bedroom.”

Their lips met in a playful kiss as they were both smiling, but Vi quickly deepened the kiss and could feel the love in their hearts growing. She had no doubt every day would bring more love and the best part was being side by side, living their happily-ever-after.
