“It’s beautiful, baby. I love it!” Cory said, holding her hand in front of her and wiggling her fingers.

“It reminded me of your eyes.” Vi smiled and reached for Cory’s hand. “Should we unlock the door so our friends and family can come in?”

“In a minute,” Cory said, kissing Vi once again. Their lips met in a kiss that held more than promise. It was full of love and all the adventures to come.

When they pulled apart they both laughed and went to unlock the door. Congratulations rang around the store as their friends and family rushed in to hug the happy couple.

CeCe and Alexis wheeled in a cooler full of chilled wine, beer, and champagne. Vi and Cory greeted everyone as Cat brought in a tray of snacks followed by Elena with her arms full as well.

“They never did tell us exactly what was going on with them,” Cory said as Cat and Elena walked by.

“Oh yeah, we’ll ask them later,” Vi said.

“Talia!” Cory exclaimed.

“Congrats,” Talia said, hugging Cory. Then she turned to Vi and held out her arms.

“You don’t have to,” Vi said.

“I want to.” Talia hugged Vi, then whispered in her ear, “Thank you for making my friend so happy.”

Vi nodded and smiled.

“Now, I’m going to drink your liquor for a change,” Talia said, walking over to where CeCe and Alexis had set up the bar.

“Hi Diane. Hi Penny,” Cory said.

Diane shook her head. “I should be upset with you for taking my best salesperson from me, but looking at both of those smiling faces, I can see it’s the perfect match.”

“Thanks for coming and celebrating with us,” Vi said, hugging Diane.

“I’m so proud of you. Go live this life and don’t miss a thing,” Diane said.

“I will. I promise,” Vi said, surprised as tears stung the back of her eyes.

“Can I come hang out at the happy hour bar with y’all?” Penny asked.

“We’d love to have you!” Cory grinned.

“Don’t get any ideas of following Vi here,” Diane said, eyeing Penny.

“Thanks for being here,” Cory told them both.

“Well, well, well,” Alexis said, grinning at Cory. “It wasn’t that long ago we were at our engagement party and I believe your comment was something about battling with a liquor rep, but you had it under control.”

“Oh, is that what she said that night?” Vi said, raising her brows at Cory.

“If you’ll remember, you came in the store and asked me out, but I couldn’t go because I had to be at their party,” Cory replied, defending herself.

“Oh, I remember and I also remember what happened the next day,” Vi said, putting her arm around Cory’s waist and pulling her to her side.

“I’ll never forget that day,” Cory said quietly, leaning over and kissing Vi’s cheek.

CeCe nodded. “Oh yeah, that was the big lake date.”

“Honey, maybe we won’t have to wait much longer to get married,” Alexis said.

“Two down and one to go,” Christine said, joining the group. “I love seeing my girls happy.”
