CeCe studied her face and grinned. “I wouldn’t be surprised. I’m pretty sure you can do anything, Lex.”
“You can too, Cecilia.”
“Do you also read for pleasure? Because I do love to read,” CeCe said.
Alexis wiggled her eyebrows. “Anything I do with you brings me pleasure.”
CeCe smacked her on the arm. “Please!”
Alexis chuckled. “I can’t help it! I have fun with you.”
“I like to read romance novels, especially sapphic romance.” CeCe grinned.
“You might be surprised to know that I, too, read sapphic romance.”
“No way!” CeCe said, smacking her on the arm again.
“Easy there, I have to use that arm to perform surgery next week,” Alexis teased.
“I’ll spend the weekend with you if you’ll do something with me,” CeCe said.
“Name it!”
“I want to laze around in bed with you in the morning,” CeCe said. “Don’t tell me you’re one of those people who get up early even on the weekend.”
A smile grew on Alexis's face. “That sounds like a wonderful morning to me. You have a deal.” Alexis held out her hand for CeCe to shake it.
“I don’t want your hand.” CeCe slapped it away and grabbed Alexis's face. “I want this.” She leaned down and sealed their agreement with a kiss.
Alexis looked up at CeCe with the happiest lopsided grin. “Do you want to stay here or at my place?”
CeCe shrugged.
“I like it here. We’re close to things to do. We can go to Cory’s and have a drink or maybe find a book at Cat’s,” Alexis suggested. “Or go to the diner and have ice cream!”
CeCe chuckled. “You sound like you’re going away for the weekend.”
Alexis' face softened. “Maybe it could be every weekend with us?”
“Careful, Lex.”
Alexis smiled. She knew what that meant. “You’re about to swoon?”
CeCe nodded. “It’s time to get up.”
“Wait!”
CeCe stopped and turned back to Alexis.
“Just one more kiss.”
CeCe smiled and shook her head. “You know I can’t resist your kisses.”

CeCe put her supplies away and walked towards the front of the salon.
“Okay, Ryan, I’m through for the day. Heather is supposed to be back. Will you make sure one of you locks everything up?”
