“That’s the beauty of winning an exclusive wedding. They take care of everything,” CeCe said with a smile.

“Come sit,” Erin said, indicating one of the chairs in front of her desk.

“I only have a few minutes,” CeCe said. “I’m meeting Alexis upstairs. She was very vague. I know she didn’t have surgery today, but she asked me to meet her at the nurse’s station on the surgical floor. Maybe she’s checking on a patient.”

“Are you nervous about tomorrow?”

“Not really. I’m more excited than anything. Were you nervous at your wedding?”

“Oh, CeCe. My wedding was unbelievable. Desi and I got married at the courthouse in a rushed ceremony because there were complications with my pregnancy. We’d planned to get married after the baby got here.”

“Oh wow.”

“The unbelievable part is when we got home from the courthouse, Desi had planned this intimate wedding at our house with our close friends.”

“Oh, Erin. That is unbelievably romantic.”

Erin chuckled. “Desi still surprises me. You wouldn’t believe the romantic streak my wife has.”

“Oh, yes I would. Most people see the stoic surgeon in Alexis, but she is so romantic and sweet it would make your teeth hurt!”

Erin laughed. “And we’re the lucky wives who get their attention.”

“Almost wife,” CeCe said.

“We will be there supporting you both tomorrow.” Erin smiled.

“Thank you.”

“I still can’t believe you and your sisters are all getting married together,” Erin said.

“I can’t believe it either, but that’s a story for another day.” CeCe got up and walked to the door.

“All of Alexis's family is here?” Erin asked.

“Yes. It is the funniest thing. I have been to visit them several times since Lex and I were engaged and they have visited us here. But Lex’s parents love my mom and she loves them!”

Erin chuckled.

“They are quiet, serious people, kind of like Alexis,” CeCe said. “And my mom is rather loud and to the point, if you know what I mean.”

“Why does it surprise you that they hit it off? Doesn’t it remind you of someone else? Maybe we’ve seen this movie before,” Erin said, raising a brow.

CeCe laughed. “I guess so.” She shook her head. “I never dreamed that forever could be like this. I can’t believe it was only a year ago that I opened my own salon and when Lex walked in that door our hearts decided it was time for us to do something. We’d gotten to know each other through her hair appointments, but that day the serious flirting began and here we are. I love her so much.”

“She loves you, too,” Erin stated.

CeCe grinned. “I’d better go find my fiancée.”

“Tomorrow you’ll be calling her your wife,” Erin said.

“I can’t wait!”

Alexis was standing at the nurse’s station chatting when she heard the elevator ding and the doors open. As CeCe stepped out Alexis strolled towards her.

“I will never get used to how hot you look in that white coat,” CeCe said quietly as Alexis stopped in front of her.
