CeCe enlisted her realtor friend, Marina Summit, from Make It Easy Designs to sell Alexis's house and Marina’s business partner, Victoria Stratton, happened to be a friend of Alexis's.

Marina invited them to a pool party she had for the business and they became friends with the rest of the Make It Easy Designs' team. It turned out that CeCe had done several of the crew’s hair and Alexis had been the surgeon for a few family members. What a small world.

It didn’t take long to sell the house and CeCe and Alexis enjoyed creating their home together. They were both surprised when they agreed on furniture the first time they went shopping.

After they both went through their closets and donated the clothes they no longer wore, they had plenty of room at CeCe’s. Alexis set up the office to her liking with a small desk for CeCe which was all she needed.

Once they were finished moving all of Alexis's stuff, arranging the new furniture, freshening up the living room, and planting fall flowers in the backyard, the transformation was complete. It didn’t feel or look like CeCe’s house any longer. It truly felt like their home.

“Do we have plans for tonight?” Alexis asked CeCe as they got in her SUV.

CeCe didn’t think Saturday would ever get here. She had a surprise for Alexis that would take up their evening and night. “Uh, not really. Was there something you wanted to do after we finished with our errands?” CeCe cut her eyes toward Alexis.

Alexis reached over and grabbed CeCe’s hand and held it in her lap.

CeCe smiled at the gesture. It didn’t matter who was driving, most of the time one of them reached for the other’s hand.

Alexis sighed. “I love our home and to me, the best nights are when we’re together in our home sweet home.”

“Wow, babe. When did you get so sentimental? I didn’t think it mattered where we lived.”

“It didn’t until we made that our home together. Who knew!” Alexis exclaimed. “You have opened up all kinds of emotions in me and I love every one, even the ones where I miss you when I’m at work.” Alexis paused. “Wait just a second while I throw up a little in my mouth because I can’t believe I said something so frigging sappy.”

CeCe burst out laughing. “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. Besides, I like sappy Lex. She’s all mine.”

“All of me is yours. Are you sure you’re still up for it?” Alexis teased.

CeCe kissed the back of Alexis's hand. “I’m all in, honey.”

Alexis smiled and gazed out the window. CeCe glanced over at her and her heart skipped a beat. Her sisters were helping with this surprise and she hoped they were ready.

CeCe pulled into the Salon 411 parking lot and waited for Alexis to come to the front of her SUV.

“Let’s go to Cory’s store first. She ordered something for me,” CeCe said, walking towards The Liquor Box.

“Ordered something? What’d you get? Wine?” Alexis asked.

“You’ll see later.”

“Oh, a surprise. I love your surprises,” Alexis said, wiggling her eyebrows.

CeCe chuckled. Sometimes the little kid in Alexis came shining through.

Cory saw them enter the store and met them at the counter. She handed CeCe a bottle in a brown sack.

“Here you go, sis. Hi Alexis,” Cory said in a playful voice.

“Hey, Cory. How’s it going?”

“It’s a good day!” Cory grinned.

CeCe widened her eyes at her sister’s exuberance and shook her head as she grabbed the bottle.

“Okay.” Alexis looked from Cory to CeCe. “It must be a Sloan sisters thing,” she mumbled.

CeCe hurried them into the salon and out of the liquor store.

“That was kind of weird,” Alexis said. “I wonder why she was so excited. Maybe she got that liquor sales person to back off.”
