Their lips met and this kiss was a sweet ending to the night, but there was a hint of more to come.
“I’ll see you Tuesday,” Alexis said as she opened the door.
CeCe smiled and nodded. She locked the door and walked Alexis to her car. “I was right,” CeCe said.
“About what?” Alexis asked, rolling her window down.
“Everything. You’re dangerous,” CeCe said.
Alexis chuckled. “So are you!”
“And your lips.” CeCe shook her head.
“Yours will keep me up at night.” Alexis grinned, starting her car.
“Good thing I bought you that toy,” CeCe said, stepping back from the car.
Alexis raised her eyebrows. “Maybe I want the real thing next time.”
CeCe grinned. “Dangerous.” Then she got in her car and they drove away.
* * *
Alexis drove home with a cocky smile on her face. That had to be the hottest sex she’d had in a long time. As she thought about it she shook her head. “Nope,” she mumbled. “That was the hottest sex I’ve ever had.”
How could that be? Was it because of all the flirting they’d been doing lately? Or was it that near kiss that had them both wondering. Whatever it was, Alexis was not going to soon forget it. She could still feel the intensity pulsating through her body.
CeCe’s body responded under her fingers like nothing she’d ever felt before. So did hers! When CeCe ran her hands up her back and lightly scratched across her skin with her nails, Alexis almost came undone right then and there. With one touch? This was confusing.
Alexis had been with her fair share of men and women, but she’d never felt quite like that with another person’s touch. It was like their bodies had been waiting for this and once they were together, the intensity was fierce.
“You were in the back room of a beauty salon with your hair stylist backed up against a wall,” Alexis said out loud. She’d imagined this exact scenario more than once, but the real deal was so much better. “Good God,” she sighed.
She couldn’t believe she felt this strongly about what had just happened when CeCe had yet to touch her. “It must be those kisses,” she muttered.
When she pressed her lips to CeCe’s that first time, something exploded inside her. She’d heard people describe when they were first with the love of their lives or soulmates or whatever the buzz word was now, that they felt like they were home. Alexis had thought that was rather ridiculous, but who was she to judge.
“Hmm.” She had to admit there was some sort of feeling when their lips first met. It wasn’t just lust, because she knew that was rushing through both of them. There was something about their lips, it was as if they’d been waiting for the other.
She’d experienced some bad kisses in her time and some good kisses. But the kisses she and CeCe had just created were on another level. That’s kind of how she looked at it. Together they created a kiss, a touch, a sound, or even a feeling. There wasn’t a familiarity necessarily, but it was like they knew what to do so they could feel the best of everything.
“Well, that sounds ludicrous. You’re letting your analytical brain go too far. This isn’t surgery. You were having great sex,” Alexis chided herself as she pulled into her garage.
She sat in her car for a minute and stared straight ahead. What does all this mean?
Alexis took a deep breath and let it out. “All it means is that you hope to do this again when you see CeCe on Tuesday.”
That made Alexis smile. Then she remembered what CeCe had said—she doesn’t date clients.
Alexis raised her eyebrows. Did she want to date CeCe Sloan? Did that mean CeCe wanted to date her? Whatever it meant right now she couldn’t wait to be in that back room with CeCe again.

CeCe’s phone rang and for just a moment she hoped it was Alexis. They’d texted last night and again this morning briefly. When she picked up the phone she saw a picture of her big sister on the caller ID.
“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, dear Cory, happy birthday to you,” CeCe sang as she connected the call.
Cory’s laughter bubbled out of the phone. “Thank you, sis, but I didn’t call so you’d sing to me.”
