She’s in front of me, and I pull her to a stop by taking her hand. “I thought of another experience you could have. Something I doubt you’ve ever done before.”

A spark lights in her emerald eyes, as sure as if I’d struck a match. “What is it?”

“Skinny dipping.”

She blinks a few times then laughs. “Are you serious?”

“Totally.” I walk past her, stripping off my shirt and letting it fall to the grass. Then I toe off my shoes.

“What if someone else comes?”

I turn to face her and find her looking back the way we came. “No one is going to bother us.”

She turns back around and looks at me as I’m sliding off my shorts, revealing my black boxer briefs. “But Nero was here just last week.”

I shrug then turn around. “He was here with me. This is my spot, not his.” Then I push down my boxer briefs while I walk, stepping out of them when they fall to my ankles.

Since I’m not facing her, I can’t be sure, but I’d bet money on the fact that she’s checking out my ass right now. The water is a little chilly when I step into it, but nothing terrible.

Once I’m in it to my waist, I turn and face her. “Come on. It’s refreshing.”

She chews on her bottom lip, looking unsure. “My hair will be a rat’s nest if I go in there.”

I tilt my head and give her an incredulous look since her hair is pulled back in its usual thick braid.

“It’s true! You have no idea what kind of maintenance is involved with hair this long.”

I don’t doubt it for a second. “Come on! You wanted new experiences. If you want, I’ll turn around while you get in.”

She looks over her shoulder one last time then back at me. “All right, fine. Turn around.”

Thank god my dick is underwater so she can’t see how fast it salutes her decision.

Twenty

RAPSODY

Once Kol has turned his back toward me, I pull my T-shirt up over my head. I can’t believe I’m doing this, but at the same time, a rush of excitement flows through me. Partly for the new experience, but partly because I’m going to be naked—with Kol.

Next to go are my shoes and socks, then my leggings. When I unclasp my bra, I take a deep breath before I let it fall to the grass. I’ve never been naked with a man before. Never has a man seen my bare breasts. Finally, I push my panties down my legs and step out of them.

The sun warms my body as I take tentative steps toward the edge of the water.

Kol’s back muscles tighten when he hears me step into the water. “Let me know when it’s safe to turn around.”

Once I’m waist deep, I crouch down so that my chest is covered. “You can turn around.”

When he does, he meets my gaze. “Another thing you can check off your list.”

“I guess so.”

“Want to go deeper?” He arches an eyebrow.

This is it. This is my moment to be brave. Without saying a word, I push up to my full height. Water sluices over my breasts, and I stand there for a moment while Kol takes me in. His eyes grow wider with a predatory gleam as he stalks toward me.

I force myself not to look away from him, but it’s easier than expected. The way his gaze devours me makes me feel wanted and beautiful.
