Kennedy’s father approaches, his hand squeezing my shoulder. “You will never speak about this to my daughter,” he says, looking me in the eyes.
I nod. As far as the public is concerned, Daniel Park attempted to escape arrest and jail time by fleeing to South Korea. His body will be found in the wreckage of a tragic car accident in the jungles of Vietnam, where he tried to elude capture.
“Understood,” I tell him.
He nods. “We have a crew ready to handle this.”
I nod and give Park one final look before I exit.I’ll never think of that bastard again.
CHAPTER 52
Kennedy
Three months later …
“You really can see my apartment from here,” I marvel as I stare out of the floor-to-ceiling windows of Dae’s condo. I turn to face him with my arms folded. “And you didn’t want the penthouse?”
He shrugs, slides his hands into the pockets of his suit pants, and answers, “The penthouse wouldn’t allow me to watch you from here.”
I shake my head and turn back to look out of his window. You can’t completely see into my apartment from here. The window blinds prevent anyone from seeing directly inside. But I can see how my shadow could be watched as I sat in what used to be my favorite spot in my home.
Since officially moving in with Dae two months ago, the office and reading nook in the house he built are now my favorite places.
A lot has happened in the past three months. Sebastian Blackmon went on the run for a while, but he was found and now faces charges ranging from kidnapping and child endangerment to tax fraud.
All of his restaurants have been closed down.
I’ve started a separate investigation into the cult-like behavior within the church he used to run his child labor ring.
Through The Regal’s podcasting division, I’ve partnered with a fellow reporter to do a ten-part podcast series on the church. Almost weekly, new victims come forward with allegations of everything from physical abuse to money laundering by the church’s leaders.
But I don’t think about my investigation as the window glass goes from transparent to opaque.
“Mmm,” I moan when Dae comes up behind me, his hands reaching underneath my dress and sliding up until it bunches around my waist.
His fingers pause when they reach the lace panties I have on. He grunts in my ear. “Since when do you wear panties around me?”
I roll my eyes at him over my shoulder. “Since we’re leaving in ten minutes to have dinner with my parents,” I remind him.
My protest breaks off into a moan when Dae slides a finger into my pussy.
“Dae,” I whisper-pant. “We have to leave soon.”
“We can be late,” he counters, then kisses that spot on my neck that he loves to tease.
My pulse speeds up.
“Don’t rip …” I trail off as the sound of my lace panties being torn to shreds sounds in the air. I want to curse him but, in all honesty, I knew it would happen. This pair will be added to his handkerchief collection.
“Hands on the glass,” he orders. At the same time, he unfolds my arms and places my palms against the glass window.
He drops to his knees behind me.
I shake my head.
“Dae, baby, we don’t have time for that. Just fuck me.” Desperation leaks from my tone the same way my moisture leaks from my pussy. “Ah!” I gasp when he smacks my ass.
“There’s always time for me to taste your pussy,” he growls right before his hot mouth covers my clit.
