“Yeah,” CJ answered. “That’s her.”

“Shelley, not short for Michelle, and her friend, um…” Bo snapped his fingers. “…I forget her name.”

“You remember her?”

“We were kinda trashed. She won the backstage passes from the radio station and…” Bo gulped. “…she and her friend stayed after the meet and greet because I invited them to come party on the bus with us.”

Shit.

“You know that’s against our rules, Robert,” Matt tsked. “No fucking on the bus.”

It was probably the only rule they had.

“I want a DNA test done, and I want it now.” Taylor stood and began to pace the small front lounge. “I don’t remember this girl, and even if I did fuck her I always use a condom.” He stopped mid-step. “Always!”

Except that one time with Becky Brinderman, and he’d learned his lesson. Bitch made sure he’d never forget it.

“I want this put to rest before Chloe is needlessly upset.”

“What about Jesse?” Kit chimed in. “And why should Chloe be upset? It was before you even met her.”

Taylor covered his face with his hands. “Because Chloe is five months pregnant with my baby, you idiot!”

“Your maybe baby,” Sloan snickered under his breath and everyone looked at him. “Well, it could be Jesse’s, am I right?” Then he sing-songed, “Mama’s baby, Daddy’s maybe.”

“Shut. Your. Piehole.”

He was gonna kill Sloan.

Jesse and Chloe were gonna kill him.

God, he had to stop the vultures from getting ahold of this until he could talk to them. “CJ, we have to keep this quiet.” Their manager lowered his eyes. “At least until I speak to Jesse and Chloe.”

“Too late, my friend.”

He laid his iPad on the table. Matt read the headline out loud, “It’s a girl for Venery’s Taylor Kerrigan! TMZ has learned that Taylor Kerrigan has been named in a paternity…”

There was a photo of him, the same one as the poster Chloe had since high school, side by side with the Facebook photo of the girl in front of the tour bus.

“Enough.” He dropped into his seat, and with his elbows on the table he rested his chin in his hands.

Bo sat next to him and squeezed his shoulder. “You might want to call them now before anyone sees it and starts blowing up their phones and shit. You know someone is going to.”

“What time is it?”

“Ten here,” Matt answered.

Nine back home then. They were sure to be awake already. He glanced at the faces around him as he pulled the phone from his pocket, but in his mind he saw Chloe clinging to Jesse, crying on Thanksgiving night.

‘This baby changes everything, Jesse.’

Babies usually do.

Fuck.

Ping.

He ignored it. Jesse was balls-deep inside his wife and that’s where he was staying. He loved waking up to her plush bottom nestled snug against his hard dick and he loved nudging her awake with it. Wrapping himself around her and toying with her nipples. She always melted like butter in his arms.
