I shrug and state, "Why don't you ask perfect Lola?"
She raises a brow at my tone. "No, because I'm asking you. You've just threatened a club princess, Quinn. The brothers won't accept that, even if your brother is a prospect now."
I snort as I notice Noah coming my way again and say, "I don't care what the brothers would think. After today, Shelly, I won't be stepping foot inside this building again." Her eyes widen as I go to walk past her. "Oh, and that bitch has ruined not only my reputation but also my job. Because of her, I to have to be supervised, in my own classroom, at all times after she made a complaint about how I used a child in my class to get to his patched father. She then threatened to pull the sponsorships if they didn't fire me, and the only reason why I haven’t sued the school is because they’d lose thousands."
"That little…." Shelly's words trail off as I rush over to Noah. He grins as I lift him up and spin him around as he giggles.
I’ll hang with him until the wedding; everyone else doesn't exist.
I spend the next half hour running around with Noah, ignoring a concerned-looking Shelly and guilty-looking Lola. I refuse to look Breaker's way because every time I have, Suzy, the club's employee, is in his orbit, trying to snatch his attention from me, but I can't give him the impression that something will happen with us again.
Just as I catch Noah around his waist, making him giggle, a loud whiny voice hits my ears, and that consuming pain overtakes me.
"Seriously, Breaker, you let me suck you off, so what is your problem now?"
I look toward Breaker and see Suzy talking to him.
Not even a week after we’ve broken up…. Wow.
I ignore Smokey's concerned eyes, before I whisper in Noah's ear, "I've got to go, I'll see you in twenty minutes, okay?"
He nods, kissing my cheek, before I rush toward the hallway, refusing to look at anyone. Lola tries to grab my hand, but I dodge her. She's caused enough trouble.
When I enter Smokey's room, sobs rip from my body as Violet wraps her arms around me.
I was right. Men are all the same.

I glare at Suzy as she smirks, before Momma steps beside me, causing Suzy to take a step back. Momma isn't the person she should be scared of right now.
It's me.
Smokey mutters something, and I turn to where Quinn was standing only to see her gone.
Oh shit, no, no, no.
My eyes scan the crowd, not seeing her anywhere. As I'm about to run outside, Noah rushes over to me and actually fucking speaks to me for the first time today as he grins, asking, "Hey, Daddy, Quinn had to leave. Can I go outside and play with April?"
I freeze at his words. Gone? She left?
Smokey clears his throat. "Actually, bud, could you convince Little Red to come inside and get ready for her momma's surprise?"
Noah grins before running to find April. Suzy grips my arm, ignoring Momma's growl, and I look at her with pure fucking anger, making her eyes widen in shock. I shove her away from me before growling, "We both know I was drunk, Suzy. You knew exactly what you were doing just then. Do me a favor and fuck off!"
Her face goes red as she stomps her high-heeled foot in a tantrum before walking away.
The bitch is done for.
I look at Smokey, who shakes his head, then gives me some home truths that I've tried to ignore.
"You've lost her, brother." I shake my head because, like fuck am I going to lose her, but he squeezes my shoulder, saying, "I'm sorry, brother, but you have. You've just committed her biggest betrayal. Move on, brother."
My breathing picks up, and I am unwilling to accept his words. Quinn is mine, and I won't lose her.
Fuck, I really should have knocked her up.
