Quinn: I’m glad I could help
Quinn: send me those docs as soon as you can. Aviva wants to serve the letter at the end of the day tomorrow. She said they’ll be more likely to give in because they won’t want to spend all weekend dealing with it
Zane: your lawyer is a shark and I’m here for it
Quinn: she’s the best for a reason
Quinn: I’ll send you guys the details of my offer tonight too so you can look over everything before we discuss it
River: sounds good but I’m still saying yes
Gray: same
Noah: hard same
Zane: might as well accept it
Nick: kisses!
The chat went quiet. I put my phone down, feeling way better than I had twenty minutes ago.
Even if the letter didn’t work, knowing Quinn had our backs helped lift the fog of doom and gloom I’d been under.
I couldn’t think of anything better than working for him, and not just because he was family. Quinn was smart, and he was damn good at business. He’d treat us right even if we were randoms off the street. That’s just who he was.
“Hayden called him. That was smart thinking,” Zane said.
“Yeah. It didn’t even occur to me.”
“Me either.” Zane turned his attention back to his screen. “Hayden’s a good guy to have on your side.”
“He is.”
I opened my text thread with Hayden while Zane was busy sending Quinn the documents he’d asked for.
River: thank you
River: Quinns going to help us with our boss and he offered us all jobs
River: did you know about any of this?
Hayden read the texts before I could exit out of my text app. Wasn’t he still in his meeting?
Hayden: I’m glad he could help. I didn’t know for sure, but I figured he’d be the best place to go for information about how to deal with something like this.
Hayden: and I kinda knew about the jobs
River: you did?
Hayde: Sort of. He mentioned he was starting his business and was thinking about asking if you guys would be interested in working for him.
Hayden: He wasn’t sure if he should because mixing friendship and business can be messy. I just gave him a little nudge.
River: youre amazing
Hayden: I’m just removed from the situation so I was able to look at it from a different angle.
River: nope. Your amazing. End of story
